    Lucas Oil Stabilizer.

Some look at it as snake-oil while others swear by it. Bob is the Oil Guy and his followers are fairly critical of it. Other 3rd party testing shows that it's long chain molecules do exactly what they are advertised to do and help the oil "stick" to surfaces. I've seen the stuff for years and used it in a few applications, but not in the last 6-8 years.

-1986 VW, car had unknown miles, somewhere north of 200k when I bought it in 2008, really needed a full head rebuild. I used a quart of this in place of 1 quart of oil during an oil change and drove the car for another 2 years with minimal oil consumption and a nearly new sounding engine. Sold the car for exactly what I payed for it, $1800. Bought it to keep miles off my Ridgeline at the time.
-Used in an old Craftsman lawn mower that burned oil as fast as it burned gas. Cut my yard with it for another 3 years until I moved and left the mower with the house, still running and burning very little oil.

Now with all of that said, I have no intention of running this in my Tundra or any other 4 wheel vehicle currently in my driveway. Reason being, I think this is a problem solver and I don't currently have any problems.

What I am considering running it in is my 2009 KLX250S dual sport. These engines are inherently noisy from the factory. Single cylinder, older tech, valve train clatter. They also have a low oil volume, 1.5L. I've exhausted my research and 2wheeled forum reading. I figured I would post here for one more round of input. I'm currently leaning towards running 10% Lucas in my next oil change and go from there.

    ?'s to everyone.
    -Personal Good results?
    -Bad results?
-Science or a technical reason why you do/do not like it?

When it gets cold I like to use Lucas Upper Cylinder Treatment in the gas tank. I've had good results with that. Used it in my ex Taco too up in AK. Less clatter when it's cold tells me the upper engine is getting less friction at start up. A good thing.
