    6FBF300A-6BEA-4DA0-8567-A96BEF23A67B.jpg Hey Tundras!

I just purchased a 2017 double cab SR5, I would like to put a LED bar in the hood bulge but I do not want to spend $1,000 on the NSV. Does anyone have the iJDMTOY one? Or any comparable? Any help is greatly appreciated! If you could could you guys post links to them also so I can take a look at them!

    Thanks!

That is awesome! The iJDMTOY is almost the same. It comes with wiring kit and mounting brackets for $180. And like you did for that one you have to cut those brackets off which scares me on my new purchase I’m not the brightest on wiring things past a car radio. But I do have a friend who works for a control company.

Yea, wasn't fond of cutting the bracket hood supports either. Not sure if I ever updated that thread or not, but it was noticeable that the front of the hood lost the supports, especially when closing the hood. I don't remember it being drastically obvious, but if you knew what to look for you could tell the hood where it meets the hood bulge was "softer" than before.

Wiring a bar up isn't bad - between a buddy and you, you all should be able to work through it and get it done.

ijdmtoy is just china crap (the light bar I used was also china crap). I certainly don't remember spending anywhere near $180 for the light bar and mounting brackets. Wire harnesses for them are really cheap, plan for like $15 or so. I want to say I was in this project $90-100 total, but it's been a while so hard for me to remember.

Anyways, this is just an idea. I'm sure other members will chime in with their ideas/experiences as well

Definitely like your price point way better than the other for sure. Do you know what watt and lumens yours is? The iJDMTOY one is 108W. And just checked it’s actually $150 free shipping. Yeah it’s scary to cut those for sure. I don’t want to lose some durability of the hood bulge. If that’s a problem I may just go with one inbetween the grill slots or between the grill and bumper.

Hey guys I found a sweet bracket for the tundras so you can fully hide two 42” curved lights bars!!! Look up Caliraisedled.com. It is an awesome mount. That’s what I just ordered.
