And those people need to die.

    Fireball is the devil.

Me and a few buddies just got back from this place called Andermatt. It's in Switzerland and a huge freeride mountain. Beautiful powder basically everyday.
It's only 2 racks if you think about it. 5 gallons doesn't go very far haha. Granted at 10% ABV, 3 will make you feel real good.

We haven't had snow all season ): making me quite sad.

Sooo...I hate not having a spare that's even remotely close to the size tires I'm running. But I'm also cheap on some things and didn't want to fork out for another Method wheel and a 35. So I kinda improvised.

Picked up a 275/70/18 KO2 to mount on the stock steel spare. According to spec sheets, it's 1.3" shorter than my 35/12.50/18 KO2s. I put the tire next to my existing tires and it's a little over an inch smaller with my current tread, which equates to a hair over 1/2" difference in ride height compared to the rest of the tires if I get a flat and actually have to mount the spare. Good enough for me!

I did have to slightly modify the area where the spare resides. I cut off the two factory retainer looking things that keep the tire from moving aft. However, if you look at the way the crossmember is designed, with a larger tire the crossmember has a built in retainer. tire doesn't move at all when it's loaded up. And it clears the shackles both directions.

Also, I did a test with the full sized 35/12.50 and it will fit in the stock location as well and will clear the shackles too as long as you are diligent as you install it. Just have to do the same modification on removing the brackets. But the tire sits much lower than this.

I'd like to go bigger on the spare too as well as get rid of the highly damaged spare I have now. Didn't look like much taller of a tire would fit. You proved you can. Will be searching for a cheap tire now.

Right on. Good idea. At some point I will be adding a larger tire and something like that to protect it.

    Giant Mo'fuckin gas tanks!
Going to definitely require a couple beers to get those things under our trucks! haha. They're damn heavy too, at least 150-175lbs dry.
Not stopping every 200 miles when towing will make it all worth it though!
