So I'm trying to prioritize my upcoming build and determine how much $$ I should set aside for various things. Wanted some help determining what to get to start, what to get around the 6month mark, year etc.
(I figure it will take about 6mo to get a significant amount of funds together for each big purchase).

Right from the start I'll have:
    • Wheels/tires
    • Susp (from the ADS group buy)
    • Bed Rack

    Here are the future upgrades:
    • Sliders
    • Bumper/Winch combo
    • Front and rear lockers

So how would you folks "rank" the future upgrades? Which can I live without for a while?
Overall my goal is to have a go-anywhere vehicle that I can use to take the family out to remote camp spots in Cali, NV, UT, AZ.

As far as future mods, sliders would be first on my list. Follow that with skid plates, then the bumper with a winch. Go heavy on protection for your investment. That’ll also give you time to see if you really need air lockers for the kind of off-roading you do, as it is a pretty pricey little investment.

Good call on the "protection". Makes a lot of sense. Otherwise I'll be spending whatever I save on repairs... Hadn't thought of it that way.

So for skid plates, what is the priority/order. This is a TRD Offroad w/ the factory front skid plate and gas tank skid.

Most guys will do em all at once, or they’ll go engine, drivetrain then gas tank. RCI and P&P Engineering are the most popular on here.

I have done nearly everything on your list within the first 45 days. Only reason why it isnt the entire list is due to the slow build time of my SSO Slimline. Lockers have not been on my list, and this is solely dependent on what exactly you will be doing with your Tundra. I would say add the Skids from RCI to your list, either before the Lockers, or with the Lockers. If you will be doing some crazy trails that require Lockers, you should probably think about how easy it will be to penetrate the plastic Fuel Tank OEM Skid... Otherwise, great start! Glad I had a good enough reason to use the word "penetrate"!

Depends what you think you need amd what you should have. All that off road gear is nice but that's a big expense if you don't really need it. What level of offloading are you expecting to do with your family?

If it was me and already have a capable vehicle in stock form, I'd be focusing on the camp aspect to make sure everyone has the comforts of home to some extent so they actually enjoy camping. Meaning enough battery power, hot shower system, fridge, etc.

What you buy when is entirely up to you. If you think you need all that stuff before going anywhere, then buy and install it at some point before you go.

Camp stuff is a separate list
I have most of the camp stuff down... Everyone has a 0 degree bag, I have about a billion tents in my garage (though a RTT is gonna be on the list as well) I have two large RTIC (yeti) coolers, Solar lights, camp kitchen etc. To your point though, the dual battery setup is also on the list as well. I just havent included them in this thread bc I know a lot about those things and how to prioritize. What I'm not up to speed on is the vehicle mods.

Been running an '04 Tundra CM Limited for the past 14 years. Now that the old girl is up to 210k miles, time to let her retire. :deadhorse:

I'm not sure about the etiquette, so I'll simply tell you to PM the group coordinator for details.
I thought it was a great deal though. 99.99999% off!!

I'll hold off on the bumpers I guess. Then I can "break" the factory ones and tell the wife that I might as well upgrade when I replace.

    Sliders for sure.
I have wheeled without lockers, traction boards or a winch for 18yrs and have not needed them. The few times I have seen others winch was because they said -"Hey I have an opportunity to use my winch" but could have been done with a tow strap or recovery rope. When I do go by myself I don't test fate cause I don't have those things - so it depends on how you wheel or what chances you take. In the desert there isn't much to winch from anyway - thats how I see it.
I believe in - Break it and then fix it stronger.

Well shoot! Get you some sliders and skids.
Sdhq has their last sets before the price goes up bc of trade tariffs.

Our priorities for our overland build were to be comfortable no matter where we went, then to get more places that are difficult to reach, and then to get there faster.

It sounds like you've got comfort pretty well addressed, but I'll say that a fridge and onboard hot water are life changing when it comes to overall family enjoyment of a trip.

I'd skip the lockers unless you do a lot of mud by yourself. We've crawled rock gardens that would make most Jeeps blush, and we're still open/open.

Winch is also a lot of weight if you don't wheel alone. If someone in your regular group has one, I'd skip it.

Skids and sliders are on point.

Move sliders up and get the bed rack off the list until you’re ready to buy an RTT.
