If trd pros come with a 2”front lift shouldn’t it be safe and within factory specs to lift a new tundra 2” in front without worrying about strain on suspension and front drivetrain parts?

The shocks I believe is what does the lift on the pros but nothing else should have to be changed

Thanx I put some new 2” lift struts on and someone was telling me it would mess up the front end so I looked at a trd pro in the parking lot at Walmart and all the angles looked the same as mine after my strut install

Yep, it’s just the CO and shock assembly. Upper and lower control arms are not different

As long as you aligned it after front shock install you should be fine

They are coilovers not struts for 1.
2 you will have no issues with a 2" lift. Not much is really needed beyond the front coilovers.
You could consider front differential drop spacers and UCAs but with only 2" lift they are not needed. Recommended for 3" +

    Why do you call
these coilovers when Rancho and everyone that sells them has them listed as struts? It even said struts on the box they came in. Is it like when you take the coil spring off the old strut and put it on the new strut it becomes a coilover?

Wonder how this shock compares to a 5100? This is the first time I've seen or heard of it.

I don’t know about the 5100s but I was not a fan of that adjustable clip. I had ranchos on a lifted blazer back in the 70’s. So after a lot of research I figured what the heck and bought them they gave me a solid 2” front lift I also bought a pair of 7000s for the rear so I Have them in all 4 corners. I would buy them again no problem. I like the ride big improvement over stockers great warranty also.

You can call em magazines or clips, call em struts or coil overs, call it a crick or a creek, call it a tomato or a tomato and I’ll still call you my Tundra bro!
    Keep on trucking...

It may be the lighting in the pic, but the lower part of the shock looks like it’s hitting the lower control arm.
