    Hello all,

I installed my 2018 LED headlights on my 2017 a couple months back!

I have noticed that the front drivers side beam seams a little higher then the pax side! I bought a long screwdriver to make the adjustments now!

    Question:

How do I know if the drivers side is high or the pax side is to low, meaning which side is correct before I start or would I just assume the drivers side is the incorrect height and just adjust it lower, or do I leave that height and adjust the pax side up!

If I make any sense, any advice thanks

I do have the Video on adjusting and the correct height for each, just wondering which side to adjust so I can use the in cabin manual light hi or low adjustment after I set the headlights themselves

    Thanks

Yes, you do make sense. In the video instructions, he said there is a mark that you can use in the headlight lens to begin your measurements. You should be able to follow his steps to measure from the mark to the ground, mark the same height on a board or some flat surface that you can use from several feet away and it will be obvious which one is incorrect.

When I replaced headlights on my older Tundra when they got too cloudy, I used my garage door to mark a baseline before removing the old fixtures. So, I did it the same way again... before I removed the 2016 headlights, I marked the level of the low and high beams on my garage door with headlights on from 15 feet away. Then, after changing to the 2018 headlights, I checked the beams from the new headlights against the marks from the 2016 baseline (both were level for 2016; driver side was higher for 2018) and then adjusted the driver side down to match my previous readings. Since you don't have a baseline, I would use the method he talks about in the video...most of the comments I've read have been the driver side.

    Thanks,

So it would be safe to say the drivers side is to high and should I leave my in cabin headlight dial set at zero first, thanks for the help!

Nameplate is the bare metal version that comes with the raw sliders. It will most likely start to rust, which I do not mind unless it gets real bad. Going for the rat rod, rusty gold look... maybe..

Hopefully don't have to find out. But if someone hits me I'm not gonna feel sorry ripping their front bumper or whatever else comes off as I stomp on it forward.
