Not so fast.............. Will, do you off road a lot? Is your Tunny a daily driver??? If a daily driver...do you drive a lot each way to work??? Makes a huge difference.

I commute 40 miles a day round trip on the interstate on the RG 35x12.50x18 and love them. Was surprised how quiet they really are. Granted I don't drive the truck everyday, mostly I drive the Audi that gets 32 mpg. But I do drive the truck a couple times a week every so often.

Those MT's are going to hum in no time. Ridge Grapplers FTW! But I will say they look SICK!

Unless your Tundra spends the majority of its time off road, I'd say Ridge Grappler. But maybe I'm just biased...

Ive had Toyo M/T on every truck, and this time I put the Ridgegrappler on my tundra. I think they are awesome. Low road noise, looks aggressive.

295/70/18 Ridge Grapplers, over 6000 miles on them and love them, the ride, low sound in cab and quality is great! I had Toyo's Open Country on my 2010 Tundra so I wanted to try the Nitto's!

For absolute functionality, stay stock--no lift, no e-rated tires, no larger tires, . . .. But what fun is that?

My truck is my DD, and I have Trail Grappler and love it. For an MT, it's not loud at all.

I think you are comparing the ridge grappler and the TRAIL grappler, not the terra grappler. I don't think the terra grappler tread is that aggressive. I could be wrong though.

You are correct. The terra grappler is a step down in aggressiveness from the ridge grappler. That comparison in the picture looks like a ridge vs. trail like you said.

I had the TRAIL Grappler (seen in your picture) on my FJ for 80-90k miles. They were a great tire. The hum was less than a true MT, but definitely louder than stock. If I was to buy Nitto again, I would go with the Ridge Grapplers. They are plenty aggressive, and appear to be friendlier on the road.

I'd go Ridge Grappler. Sounds like they'll work better for your uses and still look plenty tough.

out of the 2, R/G because of the hybrid design: aggressive yet quieter than M/T

2.5" front lift, 18" Fuel Vector wheels with 295/70R18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
I just installed the Ridge Grapplers. Slight increase in road noise over stock tires, but barely audible. I think they are a perfect compromise between an A/T and a M/T for a daily driver. They look bad ass too. I have 295/75's. No tread wear warranty though.

295/70/17 Trail Grapplers on the wheel, got about 50,000 miles out of them, never an issue
305/70/17 Ridge Grapplers next to it.have <2000 miles on them now, no issues so far. Not quite as aggressive as the Trails, but I like'em
