I was looking at one of these for my egg. I ended up with the old school metal loop that glows red. Dont you have to hold down the button for the entire 3.5min?

I just twist up a paper towel and put a little cooking/olive oil on it, light it up and drop into a pocket in the charcoal. 10 minutes later the BGE is ready to go. Works pretty good.

Sameish. I don't have BGE, but I use newspaper with a bit of cooking oil and put that under my chimney starter when grilling with charcoal.

I have a Primo XL, (like a BGE but made in USA) I use lump charcoal, I also have a Looftighter, thing is the bomb. I can be ready to cook in 15 minuets usually, simple, fast, and clean.
