I've had the receiver lock and padlocks for a while now and they work great. It's nice not having to keep track of another set of keys.

    None, yet....
I have the trailer receiver lock, multiple pad locks, cable lock, and hitch lock. i freaking love this stuff!! I hate carrying extra keys on key chains and this resolves that issue. They have also held up really well to weather and being outside. I even have a padlock on my storage unit, where I keep my trailer. I normally use my truck to go and get it, so there is never a risk of me forgetting the keys to open the door or to get my trailer unlocked.

One of the best things since sliced bread, imo.

So I went in search of one of these locks today. My search led me to some amazon reviews of people claiming that may keys from the same make will open this lock.

Have any of you guys that own this product tried it with a different toyota key?

Amazons one star reviews is where many people are makong this claim.

Interesting. Shouldnt be the case if it moves the tumblers into correct position based on the cut of your key.
I will be ordering via Amazon soon and will advise if my wife’s 4Runner key also opens it.

0DC5DD78-E8C0-4193-BDAC-94529F7F65DE.jpg Ok i purchased the coupler pin lock, 5/8" receiver lock and 2" padlock. Quality is great. So easy to key them for your truck. Insert the key and turn to the right, done. The key rotates so smooth, wasn't expecting it to be this smooth. Expensive but worthy purchase.

Can you reset a BOLT Lock if you get a different car/truck?
Unfortunately no. For security reasons all BOLT Locks permanently learn the first key used on them and cannot be reset. We did this for added security of the lock, if the lock could easily be reset what is to stop someone from walking up and resetting the lock on you, causing a potential lockout or even worse allowing them to steal your belongings.

If you do upgrade your car/truck check out our Customer Loyalty Program for more details.

Makes sense. It's nice that they offer a loyalty discount for existing customers that want a new set of locks.
