I've searched around, couldn't find any DIYs on doing a heated seat retrofit. Am I missing something? Are the youtube tutorials any good?

Are you looking just to add heaters or are you willing to replace seat covers too?

I might hold off and do both at the same time, katzkins are on my list of things to do, and I think I can live without a butt warmer for a little while.

Yeah. I’ll have to talk to the upholstery shop and see if they will install a customer part like the seat warmer or if they’d make me buy from them...

if you do Katzkins I did mine in Charlotte with heaters and added a lumbar to the passenger for what I feel was a good price.

What did it cost? Did you bring your own heaters or did they provide them? What’s the shop? I’ll be spending a lot of time in rock hill after the new year, so That would work for me

They do all of the installs for most of the dealers here in Charlotte. He gave me the same price he charges the dealers. I called my buddy who manages a dealership and he concurred that is what they pay and then they double it. They also did my spray in liner

Was that fronts only, or did that include the back seat too?

I haven't used these, but another person on the forum mentioned this site:
    http://heatmyseats.com/

I'm waiting for my cloth seats to get beat up a bit before i throw on katzkins.
I'm trying to decide if i want to do the cooled seats as well. Our Lexus RC has cooled seats and its really nice.

I was playing with the idea of heated/cooled seats, just don’t know how involved the cooling is. Does it tap into the HVAC system? It’d be nice to have here in the sticky ass summers in the south.

Nope, would be amazing though. You just install a couple fans in the foam (have to cut holes for them). You would need perforated leather seat covers.

front and rear. Here are pics just after the install, all wrinkles have smoothed out. You can see the rocker switch on the side of the seat for the heat. I travel about 1000 miles a week in the tundra and these seats are even more comfortable than before.

I've looked katzkin kits on ebay for 5-600 bucks. most of them are just black leather.

I read your other post where you list all the stuff you want like LED lights, Leather, heated seats. I think you should buy a Tundra Limited, it will save you money in the long run.
