Thanks I was on that website and was looking at the 2017 and noticed they didn't have Toyota listed on there. But I checked again they have Toyota listed under 2016.
I want to replace the cap with a locking one because we have some neighborhood teens pouring sugar in gas tanks. It happened to neighbor's Tacoma.

How did you come up with that part number? I looked it up on Stant's website they show part number 10504 for all Tundras.

As long as if fits. Just by looking at both caps (10504 and 10501) at Wal-Mart this morning I really can't tell the difference. The only difference is the part number. As long as they both work that's all that counts.

My check engine light popped up all of the sudden, i filled it up last night , everything was good until today. Is there anyway to reset the check engine light or i need to take it to the dealer to have them reset it. Any advise advice will be grateful.

One of the neighbor kids decided to save money by siphoning gas. He wouldn't take much, just enough that I thought my pickup (not a Tundra) was getting lousy mileage. New plugs, points (yes, points), wires, and a carb rebuild didn't help. I figured it out when I filled up on the way home at a station two blocks away and was down a quarter tank when I started to work the next morning. A locking cap boosted my mileage back to where it should be. A few days later I heard him trying start his little Mustang and he wasn't having much luck. It would clatter and bang, then die. It had to be towed. That happened a couple more times to him, and once to his Dad's van when he'd been driving it. Both had to be towed each time. I figure his Dad gave him money for gas and he pocketed it. They moved away shortly after that, but I don't think anyone ever told him that the fuel he was siphoning out of my wife's old Mercedes diesel wasn't going to run well in his car or his Dad's van. I chalked the price of the diesel up to entertainment for me, and a little bit of karma for him.

Hmmm, not sure which one of the two part numbers shown above i used but within a month the CEL appeared. Had the dealer check it during an oil change and sure enough, it was an air/vac leak which was more than likely caused by the cap. I placed the OEM back in and it went away within one tankfull..

So conflicted here, seems like quite a crap shoot.
