    LOL.

Steel will work for me. cheaper, stronger and already powdercoated and not much weight difference imo.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
For just the engine skid plate that is not much of a weight difference so the cheaper is better. The truck wont notice 9 lbs.

Can confirm. I’ve been slacking lately and gained about 9 lbs. Truck didn’t say a word! Good Tundra.

Steel.. just because it can take a hit.
    This is aluminum..

Not sure if a steel plate would buckle like this. But you can see at the post mounts the clearly buckled and failed. Causing skid to smack a few things under there.

and it's on. Pretty straight forward install. Installed it with no jacks and didn't even lift the truck.
Nice quality. Looks sturdy and not so heavy for steel imo. Mounts over 3 cross members.Put all the bolts on, line up everything then tighten everything.I like the trap door for access to oil filter. very convenient.

Highly recommended. Excellent service from @ToyTec Lifts too.

Question for rci skid owners: how did you attach the front bumper tabs? Did you buy longer bolts?

comes with it. they are the last 3 bolts you tighten but they are the first you install on the steel plate.
