    I really don't know what it is about this truck.
    I've owned A LOT of vehicles in my close to 60 years: this is most comfortable, and enjoyable to drive truck I can remember having.
    Prefer it over any of the 2018+ company trucks I drive.
    I think the next closest was a 1972 international scout. It was so high geared, and parts so expensive sold it.

    I forgot to mention Something that bothered me a little.

    Thought I had looked good, but found one thing changing my LBJ today, that never entered my mind Especially since it's been in front end shop twice: once to have them check everything, and second time to replace the inner tie rods and align it: since I had it. No cotter pins on lot of the castle nuts. Only one LBJ had them, and none on the tie rod ends.
    Only took one picture.
    I'll be looking over there shoulder from now on.

    Plan has been to change oil every 1,000 miles for several changes to help clean any sludge that might be in it.
    When satisfied on that do an oil change and immediately run some ATS 505 through it to remove any sludge that might still be hanging on, change that out right after running it 10 minutes, then go to 3K mile oil changes.

    Little past what I wanted but did the first 1,000 miles oil change at 1,200 mile today, and switched to Mobile1 rather than Castrol I used to use.

    It needed it.
    Hopefully can get preventative maintenance done on cowl fastener today if it doesn’t start raining on me.

    Got the bilstein 4600 with OME 2884’s installed about an hour ago
    Was 19 and 18 on the front.
    Currently sitting at 21.5 inch. Right at level before settling, and it stopped my tire rub on turns.
    Man is it riding so much better. Old OEM shocks wore worn plumb out.

    Had to go get, and replace the sway bar links too cause once again whoever been under it had tightened the nuts down into shoulder of stud, and stripping the threads as nut came off.

    Based on other input, I suspect after a shakedown ride you'll probably drop back to around 20¾" - 21¼".

    Question on basically a 2” lift.
    on recent trip I tested its limits on curves getting used to the new suspension, and alignment. (20-25mph curves at about 55mph. 30 at around 60mph)
    I’ve traveled that route a lot and learned limits on each vehicle I’ve had handling those curves. (Yes have to make sure nothing is loose to be slung around).

    Changing the oil when we got back I noticed I had a little cv grease sling from the inner cv clamp area on inside joint, and cv boot is intact. Both Boots do spin on axle now. They didn’t before I pushed it to that extent.

    Cleaned it off and have driven it regular speeds with no issues of more grease sling.

    Most of the curves were right hand, and had more grease sling on the left cv axle than the right side so wondering if a combination of the lift, leaning in the curves, and centrifugal force could have put too much stress on the boots and grease being forced towards center could be the issue?

    Not that I will drive it at those speeds, now unless an emergency, that I know how it handles, but wondering if off roading might cause some of same thing issues of maybe overextending the boot.
    So my question is: should I get extended boots, or just get new clamps and replace grease that was lost?

    Yes and until then could put some rolled edge worm drive clamps (Capp Hardware has them) on to see if can tighten them down to keep the seep in check...until one splits...then the clamps can be used for the 930 swap.

    Think it was $15-20 including shipping for a set of eight. Don't then have to buy special pliers and also can tighten as desired with more control to address grease sling.

    Thanks for the replies.
    Haven't got clamps in yet, but drove across same mountains one day this week, at normal speeds of no more than 10mph over recommended speed
    No grease sling.
    I guess it did have something to do with the speed I was taking the curves stretching the boots, and forcing grease inboard, but I figure it'll get some of same stressors on deep ruts off on lease roads so will be looking to do the boot mod too.

    As mentioned in the megathread, some grease sling immediately after lifting is normal. I found maybe a marble sized glob (total) slung around under the truck after lifting. In the year or two since, I may find a little here or there (I check at every oil change), but it's relatively minimal.
