OK I did think of something. It’s not me, so I didn’t think of it before.

My stepmother. She was from Texas, beauty queen in the ‘50’s, Catholic family, smart as hell, kind of a snooty cougar gold digger. I called her my stepmom, but she’s my dad’s second wife and they married when I was 19. She had a son from a previous marriage, a little older than me. The son, it turns out, was not her first husband’s.

After my dad died, we found an old letter from a priest which provided some evidence that the son was from another dude. There was some excommunication kind of thing going on, I’m trying to remember the details.

25 years or so after my dad and her get married, she cheats on my dad. She asked my dad to fix her computer, and my dad found all of these juicy emails, which I also have paper copies of. My dad had obtained the letter from the priest, and had used it somehow during the divorce proceedings. Even so, she took 1/2 his money, more or less I guess. But he still sued her over the value of a house that they needed to split, when she later sold it. She’s in her 80’s now, but used to look younger than her age. Don’t know now. She’s shacked up with a new guy 20 years younger than her at the moment. Total GILF, but she thinks she’s a MILF.

Her brother and my dad were really good friends. She and her brother don’t get along. When my dad died, her brother really, really wanted the letter, and anything else we could find. We told him we didn’t find anything.

They can also park wherever they want. It's actually our privilege to live with these with mouth breathers.

Because seriously, being able to park is apparently a serious problem.

 

90% of the texas plates I see outside of Texas drive like the most entitled aggressive assholes. When I drove in Texas I didn't see the same shit-wad driving. Not sure what it is about them leaving home that makes them drive that way, but I HATE Texas drivers outside of Texas.

 

Probably 90-95% of them are rental cars, and the driver's aren't from TX...

So, folks aren't familiar w/the area and they're not familiar w/the vehicle they're trying to drive; therefore the tiny-brained mouth breathers are forced to concentrate too much on what should be familiar things, and they do not have enough RAM remaining to focus on their driving behavior which is falling short of your standards...

To avoid those frustrations in YOUR lives, simply do what we do here in Oregon...

- Treat EVERY human with respect and dignity;

- Assume that the annoying person(s) did not wake up today with the intention of causing you frustration;

- Remember, you never know what struggles, situations, difficulties or even tragedies another person may be currently dealing with;

- If all else fails, just know that once you get home, or apparently get to any other public place, that Mary Jane will be there to soothe your soul;

I commuted from outer suburbs to inner first ring Mpls. suburb for 7 years.
MN nice is a myth. At least when it comes to city drivers. Totally different when you get out in the sticks.

Every time I have visited TX (primarily SATX) I have been subjected to some of the most bizarre driving behavior ever. Not necessarily rude, (although there is a fair bit of that) but bizarre and weird and some downright scary.

It's the same "big city" correlation one can make for most anything.
The larger the city, the more population, the more asshats you have living in close proximity to each other, doing asshat things.

There is no longer much in the way of Drivers’ Education in this country.

Drivers’ Education has been replaced by hater mass media and apps. The way the vehicles are used reflects this.

When you have a Colorado license plate, a lot of the bad driving feels like a result of both of the above.

 

I went with the one on the right. Not sure if I can drink it all though. This is my first Monster, and they’re big cans. I might transfer some to a flask and sip it throughout the day.

 

It’s not great however mixed with something that should go in a flask would make it better.
