Found it, but it doesn’t contain any useful information like a part number to search unfortunately. I had called them and they emailed me the invoice to make the purchase. You'll probably have to give them a call. 818-518-9889.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure that's why I can't find the order.

MDL suggested I try sheet metal screws & RTV, next time it comes out, I will.

Just a temp fix as rtv alone may not hold well. A coarse thread to grip.

And...if you get a new lid and your old is the SC lid I'll take it off your hands or @AZTundra I've been looking for one to put a 5 inch pipe in it.

I never ended up ordering the replacement lid. Mine just has a small crack near the corner where the lid clamps down to the lower box. I wanted to try some plastic jb weld first before dropping $260 since the crack is pretty minor.

A tuning question for the hive - I have a 2014 DCLB SR5 Tundra with the Harrop Stg 2. Makes right at 7-8 psi. Long tube JBAs and 3 inch DD exhaust - no cats. 650cc Injectors and the TurboKits rescaled MAF. It is a FF truck and I have it set permanently to the "high" setting. Stock FFV fuel pump. Truck has 85k miles on it.

I had the guy who tuned it initially, retune it for the MAF. Before the new MAF it started to show a little leaner on my WB than is recommended. SO I figured it would be best to rework it and the MAF was maxing out at higher rpm. The tuner has been doing this for at least 10 years with HP Tuners but is more into GM/Ford. I think my Tundra is the only Toyota that he has tuned. When I picked it up he said he drove it several times and when getting on it the WB showed 10.8 with no problem and it held there. He also put it on the dyno for some WOT tuning. I drive it home and the when I get on it I noticed it getting into the 12s at higher rpm, so I let off. I asked him about it he got kind of defensive and said that it was working fine for him and there must be something else wrong. Like what?

Granted I don't drive the truck that much so maybe it was just a fluke?

I do have a HPT kit I bought when I was thinking about getting Sniv to tune on it, but I am scared about bricking the ECU. So there IS that option but I would rather avoid it if possible. No offense to Sniv. :)

Is there anything that could happen that would make it work fine one minute and not another? I am going out West in the fall and don't want to worry about pulling up mountains with boost, etc.

Opinions are appreciated. I am wondering if maybe the pump is going? Or is there something that has to be done in a Toyota tune that is not common on a GM tune that he missed? He says he turned off all the FF stuff, whatever that means?

    Thanks!!

If you have the file, I can look at it and find where the issue is. Most likely a power or temp enrichment adjustment. Also, on top of the MAF, the injectors can be adjusted to help with fueling.

If he or you don’t want to share the file, I can certainly tell you where to look and what it typically should be at.

Is the fuel pump forced into high pressure mode?

You can send me the tune or datalog to check out snivspeedshop@gmail.com

There's not a lot of control in HPT, so it's hard to say if there is something wrong with the tune. Could've just been the driving conditions if you exited power enrichment and weren't giving it enough throttle, or if the flex fuel decided to act up. If it was leaning out into the 12s we can see that in a datalog on the stock narrowband sensors so it "should" be pretty straightforward to track down what's going on.

I’ve got the exact same setup and mileage as you with the only difference being a turbo and not a supercharger.

I’ve found that the system is limited in the upper rpm’s. It’ll run mid 11’s until it gets to redline and then it starts to lean out into the 12’s and then it shifts and drops back down into the mid 11’s.

I have seen some weird anomalies where some days it runs in the 12’s for seemingly no reason and some days in the mid 11’s. I have a suspicion that even though I’ve got the relay jumpered to force the pump in high, that sometimes that valve randomly doesn’t close and the system goes back to 43psi. Can’t confirm because I haven’t hooked up a gauge but it’s a suspicion of mine.

Also have your computer scanned and see what your ethanol % is and have that reset to 0%.

I have a DW 300 & the relay jumped, I am generally at 60lbs, have not seen under 55 when running. Can't speak for the stock flex pump outside it looked exactly like the Walbro 450 I had before the DW.

AFR can also vary a lot I've found, in power enrichment the truck is in open loop and not actively targeting a set AFR, so seemingly if environmental variables change the AFR can swing and the truck may not compensate. On the low end I would expect to see a variance of around +/- 0.25 AFR in power enrichment, so a spread of 0.5 total. Additionally power enrichment AFR immediately after flashing is somewhat inaccurate I've found too, it's close but once fuel trims and everything else settles in the AFR can shift a bit. I usually tell people give it a day or two once the tune seems dialed and then we'll revisit what it's doing. Flashing back to back to get it running well works great, but then the AFR might lean out once it settles in and need to get adjusted again.

Some very curious results from another customer, I had mentioned this guy a few weeks ago about what could be causing the knock sensors to register incorrectly. This was with a stock Magnuson tune:

    upload_2025-7-28_10-53-57.png

And a tune from myself looked the same if not worse. We've been trying to solve the issue. Last week he put Lucas Oil type seafoam through the engine and gas tank, and same exact tune now looks like this:

    upload_2025-7-28_10-54-57.png

He said the engine seemed to have less ticking noise, but by the end of the gas tank was coming back so would grab another log. He was planning on replacing the timing chain tensioners and guides since they sounded sloppy, and then also the knock sensors and harness. But he hasn't done any of that yet, just put cleaner through the engine and gas tank and that seemed to remove all the weird knock events he was seeing.

Ya, I try to stick with Top Tier fuel, unless I'm going to be burning through it pretty quick, like on a road trip.

I will ask for a copy of the tune for review. I don't think he will care as it kinda lets him off the hook. Thanks for the advice.

This reminds me, if HP Tunes sees 0 alcohol, but the gas is 9% does that matter?

Shouldn’t matter one bit since most all fuels have up to 10% ethanol (now 15% in some cases) unless specifically stated to be ethanol free. My understanding is that the fuel trims and base tuning can easily accommodate that range.

Center console gauge mount for a 07-13 truck I just did and tried using the flycutter for the surface finish and it turned out awesome looking!

    upload_2025-7-28_17-20-20.png

I need to cut out more of the 14-21 center console mounts and send to a few people on here for some critique on how to make them better, but that's on the backburner since it's a lot more complicated than a flat plate.

Looks great! My black acrylic one is getting scratched up. Will have to grab one. Maybe combine ship with little 1900 pulley when you get it.
