2021 Tundra Factory remote start stopped working

Fair enough, but just to clarify you don't have to pay with the free trial. The Master consent has 3 things it covers, Remote Connect, Safety Connect, and Service Connect (not service connect communication to dealership).

If you truly don't want any data being shared but want a remote start, only way I can think of would be an aftermarket remote start. Maybe there's a way to hack via Techstream, similar to using Forscan in Ford vehicles, to somehow enable the key fob remote start without any of the data stuff, but I've not looked into it.

 

I have the same issue w my 2020 Crewmax. Just tried the above as instructed buy Snert and work flawless. At least I'll have 90 days to determine If I need it. Thank you for taking the time to do this post.

 

I just today 4/21/25 called toyota connect services and ask them to disconnect my dcm module. If i decide to get remote start for the winter i may just go with a aftermarket one. NO more sending toyota any information lol. they know these tundras get 13-14mpg hahhahah...

 

Wanted to thank you for making these posts. My 2021 TRD Pro stopped working earlier this year. I followed your steps and the remote start from the fob started working again. I too have a "10 year trial" and my truck was purchased Certified Pre-Owned in '23. I live in the mountains of Colorado so remote start really helps to get the truck warmed up. Its frustrating that it will turn off though when you open the door and can't just push the start button like many other makes/models and stay running.

This worked for my 2021. Remote start stopped working about 8 months ago. Logged into the app, added the truck, and declined everything but the master data thing and the remote start from the fob immediately started working again.

 

Why does Master Data sound like D all the above.
