    Never spent much time in bear country, but I know if I did I'd have a big-ass can of bear spray within reach at all times. If not a 44 Mag on my hip.
    By the same token, if I lived anywhere near scorpions I now know to have a large can of the stankiest brake cleaner on my hip.
