got the rain fly on this morning, door is framed so will maybe try to get that in place tomorrow and be done with the construction and let the wife take over making it look pretty. I got it on myself, had the wife come up to help me get the bars situated, and she noticed it was backwards. Okay, well keeping it up there and turning it 180 worked surprisingly well! Then as we were strapping it down, one side blew completely over and we had to redo the whole thing:mad: Mowed the field with my lawn mower, just switched to G5 gator blades last week (worried the mower can't spin the G6 in tough stuff) and I was shocked, I didn't even fully double cut and you can see in the photo it took field grass to a lawn without much left behind.

Got the neighbors front portion all stained, need to snap a line for the back cut those down and stained, now I need to get another 120 1x8x8.
This time I'm going to stain them first and front side 2 coats then put them up.What a pain in arse to stain it while it’s up.

    Well the driveway is complete

my uncle lives in Burbank, CA and during those raging LA wildfires, he was without power for several days. He said he'd run his HF generator for a couple hours a day to recharge battery banks, keep the fridge chilled, etc. He said something that stuck out to me- He HEARD ZERO other generators and he said it was eerie. Puts you at risk if people hear your generator in a crisis type situation like that where you could be taken advantage of.

I had that same cleaner as well and the axles went out a couple months back. It was ridiculous cost wise to replace them (over $250), so I just replaced the whole thing with a completely different model. The Hayward tracvac. This one was recommended at the pool store and so far so good. Also added a Betta automatic pool skimmer recently which is awesome.

Just picked up 4 sheets of 1" foam insulation board for my garage door. I have in my mind how it's all going g to tuck into the aluminum panels.... but thats just a dream right now lol. Got some sheathing tape to hold it in when that doesn't work.
    Any advice boys?

I did the same as you and to ensure it to stay in place I used 2 sheets of 1/4" luan with 5/16" tech screws works like a charm.

    Luan, plan C.
The space already stays 15... then about 10 degrees below outside temp when it's getting hot. This is more for this winter when I'm heating the space with the pellet stove.

Yeah man,as you know it's void free and for 1/4" pretty damn ridged,I don't have a heat source for the garage which would be great but I did it for long term and like the look of the wood verse pink foam board.

Yeah I opted for the foil faced r6, and it has a white back. Long term durability of that unknown, but I can make a prediction

Really pleased with how this turned out, nice and clean looking.
Had zero casualties (pieces snap) while horsing them around to get them in there.
Holding off on taping them in as they fit pretty snug as is.
It's it's quieter in here now too. $80, not bad.

That's gotta be nice to see out your window! Will it just be for a shop/ garage or will it be a barndominum?

I don't really ever find myself jealous of people, I can always appreciate someone's hard work paying off and them spending it in the best way they see fit. The real exception on this is when I see a nice shop go up :angrygirl::angrygirl:

Looks like it's going to be awesome, and I love a good lean-to. I know you were not at all looking for my approval, but you sure have it:thumbsup::yes::rofl: Keep us posted!

Late to the party on this one, but reminds me of when I was riding to church a few years back. Was enjoying the weather and felt a *bump* on my chest. Looked down and there was a wasp right between my legs.

I killed it, all right...by hitting it with a fist. Between my legs. It ended about how you can imagine. Somehow I managed to finish the drive to church, hunched over the steering wheel.

Lady holding the door at church was like "Are you alright?" I wasn't about to explain I couldn't walk because I'd punched *MYSELF* in the nuts.

that's might be more "envy" instead of "jealousy". but i know what ya mean. i'm happy to see others do well. the only time it typically gets to me a lil bit is when i know the person and they have people funneling them money (typically parents) and they claim how hard it is for them. o_O f*ck off! haha:D
i'll take the approval. it's been in the plans for 9+ years. it got pushed back multiple times over the past 4 years or so due to life changes. but we're here now.

As a kid I was riding my YZ80 down a trail and a Red Wasp got stuck between my cheek and my helmet!!!
That sorry bastard stung me a good four times before I could stop and get my helmet off!!
My right eye swelled up so much I couldnt see out of it!!
I'm allergic to Bee and Wasp stings so it was pretty bad.
I got it even worse when I played Pee Wee Dads Club Football.
Was playing around on a set of bleachers and disturbed a Hornets Nest.
They got me around six times!!
Then there was the time we were in Bear Creek park drinking beer.
Was leaning against a tree and messing around with a spot where a large tree limb had broken off.
Out comes a storm of Wood Wasps.
    The things are Freaking Huge!!!
    Yeah they got me Good!!!
My right calf was so swollen it got to be the size of a football!!
Those were my worst encounters and I hope I dont have another!!!
    Knock on Wood!!
....or maybe not, jacking around with wood was a very bad idea last time!!

Make a shallow V cut on the insulation side in the middle so it will bend outward and push it in place.
If your garage door is like mine it has a lip on it and it will lock it in place.
Had one get loose on me so I used some A/C Aluminium Duct tape to hold it in place.
Ended up taping all of them just to be sure they'd stay put.
Our current house has a two wide garage as well as a two deep garage next to it with a 15 foot ceiling.
The guy before us kept his RV there.
Apparently it's against code to have your garage A/C connected to your home A/C due to the risk of Carbon monoxide poisoning.
It was already installed when we bought the house but had been disconnected so it would pass inspection.
It was simple enough to reconnect and I added a butterfly valve so it could be turned off when you're not in the garage.
