Added this 13 sequoia grill today. Had to do some minor configuration to get the top four brackets. ( just used different bolts ) it rides fine but there is gapping at the bottom. I’ve read into some other forums on here about lower brackets for needed for the 07-09 that come on the 10-13. Have yet to find them anywhere but as of now it rides fine. Going to paint match soon.

I know when I swapped my 07 grill I had to replace both brackets. I found some knock-off brackets on ebay that worked with a little persuasion.

Swapped a bunch of parts off the new to me 2021, got it cleaned up, and . A bitter sweet moment for my Toyota resume!

She still cleans up nice for 173K miles - someone will have a well equipped Tundra!

I have used 80/20 for so many projects, your imagination is the limit.

80/20 is the best...until you need to click "pay now" lol

True, I was going to buy from them, but I shopped it around after I built my cart and found tnutz.com. It cut the price almost exactly in half which definetly made my wallet happy

Good to know, I’ll keep that in mind for my next wild concept I try to make a reality.

Not Tundra related, but my last 80/20 project was building a freight elevator in my garage!

Yeah, luckily the shop I was recommended to managed to get the water out of the engine and she’s running without issue. Only problem now is the transfer case motor needs to be replaced, she’ll go into 4WD when in neutral but not when the transmission is in gear.

At least the motor is good, did you check the diffs and tranny for water as well?

With the motor being good to go, if it were me I'd be quite relieved. sounds like you came out better than first expected.

I filled up with gas in Ohio @ 2.69/gal vs 3.59/gal here in Pa., a mere 13 miles to cheaper fuel. Saved almost 20.00 and got an ice cream cone on the way back.

Sweet lookin' rack! When you say custom, do you mean you had this fabricated specifically for your setup or you found this from a vendor? It appears to be super lightweight, and by the looks of it your cover works perfectly underneath it.

Just bought my 2018 crew max rock sliders from RCI! Today is the day to do it! They are running a 4th of July sale with everything on their website being 20% off. I also got an addition 5% off since the order was over $1000. Cant wait for them to arrive and go onto the rig

Custom is a bit of a generous description of what I did:rofl:. Basically, it is just generic aluminum extrusions that you can purchase from many different vendors. The most popular and well-known being 80/20 (https://8020.net/), or Tnutz.com that I bought from, and many others. I just needed a tape measure and a bit of imagination to come up with what I wanted it to look like, and then I ordered sections cut to whatever length I specified and picked connectors to go with it.

My inspiration was the Xtrustion Overland XTR1 rack, but they did not have an option to do the low rack that I wanted, their starting price is $1,500, and any options just go up from there. I also was not convinced that any angle on the rack would work with the roll-over design of the Bak Revolver, so I opted for straight vertical legs on the one I built. My final out the door price, after the painful $90 shipping fee, was $415 and the shipping weight was only 26 lbs

I had some minor damage that happened a few weeks ago, so I had to replace the lower valance on my front bumper. I liked the look of the 2010-13 valance but couldn't find any confirmation that it would fit my '08. The bumper part number was the same even though the valance wasn't, so I rolled the dice. Discovered that it's a direct bolt-on replacement, so if you ever want to upgrade your early 2nd gen with the later 2nd gen valance, it will work. Bumper removal was necessary, headlights were not. But I took them out because I'm also planning to sand off all the yellow, do a full restoration and clear coat on them. Also want to replace my grille since it has some cracked off chrome. Replacing one part has turned into a larger facelift project...

At least you had some change for ice cream. WA just hiked another .06cents a gallon for their gas tax. 3rd highest in Conus. Gotta love it!
