    @AK-in-MI, how is the phone connectivity? I use the hands free speaker connectivity a lot and wonder how well the Phoenix system interacts with the phone.

    Yea, but I would like to know the real world implementation of this with the phone. One thing the stock system does is auto connect and interact with my iPhone very well. Very reliable.

    I have a android 4.4.4 and it will auto connect with no issue.. The issue I had with mine was when on a phone call, the other person couldn't hear me. When playing music through Bluetooth worked just fine but the overall sound quality was that of an fm station none nd. Mine had a sub output but was so weak it was useless and there was no way to turn it up

    I know on mine is not built in.however there's an app on google play you can download into it.. I would just tether my phone to it and It just like bolting a tablet to the dash.

    If you have and Android phone, you can download and install a free app called Automate. You can set it up to automatically enable your hotspot on your phone when it connects via bluetooth to the unit so everything connects for data. I inquired if they had a unit that comes with a SIM card slot so I could place my extra SIM in it and it have it's own standalone data and voice but unfortunately, the LTE bands don't support the ones we use in the US.

    Great day turned into, no so Great.......Just receive my Phoenix Android Radio. Picked up the box and could feel the Unit moving around, not very secure. Opened it up and noticed some plastic pieces on the bottom of the box. Took the plastic bag off of the Unit and saw two cracks in the face of the unit.     Sorry to see that and let us know how they handle the replacement/refund moving forward...

    On another note, currently I have the non-jbl version that I added an Audiocontrol DSP and amps to the current HU and nothing was done behind the HU, all plug and play. I would assume this HU would work since it is plug and play and all I would have to do is pull the current HU out and replace with this one????

    Hopefully yours is in good condition. I emailed Phoenix and they responded immediately. They told me it was packaged correctly and must have been damaged by the shipper or at customs. But waiting to get a return label and to see what my options are, as far a refund or replacement.

    I have made multiple calls with this unit and each and I have asked each person how the sound is and the said no diffent the I had talked to them previously through the stock Bluetooth.

    So I took my lazy ass out to the truck. When you remote start the truck all of the same setting or the Hvac come back on minus the rear Defroster.. I tried it 3 Times.
