I'm trying to install the RedArc Two Pro Elite on my 2024 Tundra SR5 and see this black connector as well. Did you happen to find an alternate TBC connector plug anywhere (if you were looking) that I could plug the RedArc Tundra harness into (TPH-021)? Can't find it anywhere.

First off, thanks everyone for this post. I have a 2025 SR and eTrailer sent me the wrong harness. I went right past that plug under the dash because I was looking for a different shape.

But this blank plate for the factory switch installation location is what I'm after. Would you consider making and selling another one? If not, I'm going to make something hideous myself. But that is the right mounting location as I want easy right-hand access to that switch. In past rigs, I have had it right in the center console where my hand sits.

Another option if you don't want to screw with wiring is a wireless brake controller from Curt.

I used this for the Grand Cherokee I had before getting the Tundra with the built in controller. Simply plug into 7 wire harness and connect trailer. Download the app and your phone becomes the brake controller through the bluetooth.
Stores up to seven vehicle settings and is portable to be used on other vehicles. Worked great.

Update. Got the right harness. TPH-021, eTrailer part number RED49FR

If you end up with the harness TPH-015, it does not work with the Gen3 Tundra.

This thread was gold. Easy install with the help of the youtube vid of the complete dash breakdown.
Luckily, with the SR trim model, I have lots of blank spots to put the dial. And in theory, you should have the factory brake controller with any other trim level.

has anyone done this on a SR 3rd gen that DID NOT come with a Tow package? what do I need to do? Took it to a dealer and they said toyota doesn't make a reciever, have to use aftermarket. fine, but what all do i need to do to get lights and all for trailer. there's a wire harness bundled up behind the bumper, and a plastic part just the shape of the 7way/4way plug so i'm thinking it's got to be possible... and no it wasn't me who bought a new truck without a tow package.

@BeeManChook If you follow the post #11 from @TheBandid181 see if you have the plug under your dash. You pop the cover open at your shins and the plug is attached to the plastic flap that hinges down. If you do have that plug, just follow the comprehensive instructions in any of the posts in this thread. That gets you the controller, which you only care about if your trailer has brakes.

If you just want to get the lights working, sometimes the hitches can come with wiring harness and light plug. Or you can usually just buy the light harness for the 7 and flat 4 connectors. I don't know about hitches for this rig, but I have done this before on other rigs and the trailer light plug/harness comes with instructions on how to tie into your factory harness. I agree if you see the wires under there, it's a pretty simple install. I have bought a Curt hitch receiver in the past that had the harness and plug. check eTrailer.com

I'll also mention that if you install an aftermarket hitch receiver, you have a lot more options and potentially greater towing capacity than the factory hitch receiver on the SR. good luck

Here's my plan - nothing new - all gleaned off this site, but it's now all in one place. haven't done this yet, but can't see why it won't work from everything on here. THANK YOU everyone! - will report back once the install is done. parts on the way. 2025 Tundra SR with NO tow package.
