Unfortunately that won't work as the tow hooks mount to the sway bar mount and then the hooks would be way to low for the opening in the new valance that comes with the kit.

Dumb question…but whats the purpose of the sheet metal bracket that comes with this kit, and why is it replaced?

    Thanks!

The process wasn't painful at all and really straight forward and to the point, the only suck was to deploy the air dam to slide extensions through and to retract it to tighten but otherwise cool project.

Why the Fuck didn't Toyota have these from the start or at least charge us for the add on?!

Nice installs. I'll be ordering kit shortly. Any recommendations on who or who not to buy from?

I didn't get the great deals that some here received I must of missed the sales but I got mine at BAM Wholesale for $550. Shipped, and it came in 3 days.
Not the best price but I did seach high and low on the web and came up with BAM and they had the best price 2 weeks ago.

It is really quality product and a straight forward and easy install.

it’s a thick steel bracket that helps holds the front of the cast tow hook to the bumper. The kit is really nice I have it on my 2023 Limited, it’s jus unfortunate it won’t work with the sway bar drops on the 3” lift kit

    I just received my kit. P/N PT974-34240.
It was 499.00 + 80.00 shipping and 46.00 sales tax from Smithtown Toyota (on Long Island)
Ordered on the 18th, arrived on the 20th.
My local Toyota dealer whom I bought the truck from, was charging 635.00 plus tax.
So I saved $60.00 by ordering it from another dealer.
You would think that since I just bought a new Tundra from them that they would at least match the price. (I asked) Oh well.
    Pics of install to follow.

I don't know how long ago you made the purchase from them, but it would show Huge customer relations and courtesy even if they offered you a discount.

To be quite honest with you it is pretty straight forward and easy, on a scale of knowledge and skill 5 being tuff I'd give it a 2.
    Plus you did it yourself.

I wish Toyota had of made them red instead of black

Cat back TRD exh, Heritage grille, fog lights, 35x12.5x20” Nitto, low profile toolbox
I have the AFE tow hooks with a factory 3” TRD lift. Easy to install. Saw the warning on AFE that it doesn’t fit, but I took a chance figuring there was a decent chance I could modify. Turns out it’s very easy.
Just remove the bolts, remove the lower 1/2 sway bar bracket (there is an upper that stays put, and a lower that is removed), add the AFE hook, and carefully start the bolts.
The bolts are fine thread so be careful to get them aligned straight so not to strip. With the 3” lift & 35” tires the hooks are a good attachment height for pulling another vehicle straight out, as a tow strap will remain below the front facia. Took a few times on first one to figure out the combination of what parts stayed of the original and what you don’t use, but 2nd hook was less than 5 minute install.

@G8Santini this is very cool. I’m going to have to this a go, since no other options seem to work without change the sway bar to TRD Pro or removing the spacer. Thanks!

I asked them (the parts dept.) literally 6 days after I picked up the new truck.

They should give you some love since it's just about one week, and if they don't well, that just sucks and its bad for their business.
