Decided to put new plugs in even though I changed them last year which were gapped at .025 using Denso IkH24's. The new plugs I gapped to .033 to see how they respond to the increased power from the Lexus 8AR-FTS coils. Almost finished gotta put new red antifreeze in and check for leaks...

 

I was at the dealer today getting my 60.00 core back, they charged tax on it so I got 65.xx. WTF a core being taxed???

I just added the grab handle last year so I'm going to try the option below before following your dad's lead. That's a really clean design, though.

I like the hidden nature of the vent mount I currently have but I find myself watching it more than I thought I would, especially while towing, so it needs to come up and into view. For the price, it's worth a shot.

What’s the difference in the Lexus coils?

 

Basically better spark since those were designed for boosted applications. Requires a specific update in the tune to take advantage of the true benefits. Few of us running them and I definitely noticed a difference in even normal engine start up etc.

I turned my heat on this morning. Cold and raining...those temps are crazy! I would not survive.

Awesome tear down progress on the rig from @snivilous. Next out is the drivetrain and tank then time to prep the frame for the reinforcing/lacing.

 

Another gauge mount option. Got a cheap mount then made a cut to the pillar to adapt it.

 

Amazon sucks giant hairy donkey balls, now the coolant is "shipped" with another order & magically on time, nevermind no movement since "processing" at carrier facility at 7:30am.

 

I've had my truck back from getting SuperCharged for several days now.
While I havent really gotten into it hard per instructions from the installer i'm a bit underwhelmed so far.
When I had my Tacoma SuperCharged it was immediately apparent that It had a lot more power!!!
Not the case so far with the Tundra.
Any ideas?

 

Oh....I really need to get the boost gauge going so I can see whats happening.

 

You can always throw a smaller pulley on there or get a custom tune that should get you a little more power and also ensure it’s dialed in correctly. Being that you have a 2016 it’s also going to be somewhat laggy in throttle response which can be increased via a tune and will make it feel a lot more alive.

 

Traction control all the way off (double press hold). Floor it from a stop.
