They gave me new gaskets but one is torn in half lol. I have a pair of oem spares sitting on my shelf though so those will get used instead.
They also included a packing slip with part numbers of what I’m assuming was replaced.
    IMG_3955.jpg

They kept my storage tote, shipping blankets and my pool noodles, what the heck Magnuson. I’ll email them tomorrow about that.

Forgot to post that I received the 1050cc injectors and plugs/pins last week, came with o rings and lower cushions already installed. The injector sub-harnesses from Toyota will be here tomorrow so I can get the plugs terminated and be ready to install them.

I'll reach out to my vendor too, hopefully I hear the same good news. Now I need to hurry up and get the lsd and motor mounts done beforehand.

Thanks for the reminder that I still gotta grab the edit: Sequoia front drive shaft. I believe @Jowett recommended it as its a little longer and beefier.

Yup. Half a tank on my 38gal is an extra $17 over regular. Used to cost me $40 and now $57. Glad I work remote.

Hmmm, don’t recall that one… but I’m getting forgetful at times. The LC and Tundra front drive shaft should be the same length as the transfer cases are the same dimensions. The Sequoia has the longer transfer case to house the extra drive parts for the multimode, so I would expect you need the Sequoia front drive shaft.

The real gains that you will appreciate will be in the daily driving, especially if you get any wet weather.

Ultimately, the Sequoia case is the better option when compared to the full time LC case. But…Toyota didn’t wave the cooling fin mania magic wand over it . I’ve always wondered if a dedicated external oil cooler would be worthwhile. Look as those fins!

I have been in 4WD 95% of the time since '21 in Phoenix summers with no issues (so far) I have changed my oil 2x though.

Before I put the new motor in does it make sense to rip my secondary air out & do the Hewitt Bypass?

    Also, @snivilous I ordered the pulley :p

Being AWD helps tremendously in the snow and rain without the bind when turning.

I love to MOD....My first 2002 Tundra I converted it from 2wd to 4wd...All OEM parts, all I had to do was build 2 wiring harnesses....CAKE!, It was basically plug and play. I cant imagine this conversion to AWD is going to be much different. There's so much great info on this forum to use...Definitely looking forward to this when the time comes.

On an unrelated note in regard to coolant, I was talking to my buddy last night who has been a Toyota mechanic for something ridiculous like 30+ years I want to say. I brought up the Toyota red vs the pink. He said he noticed a trend of more coolant leaks and leaking water pumps with the pink stuff than he typically saw when they used the red. He said the only thing is it has a more frequent maintenance interval for changing it which I think we discussed here before. Next time I have all the coolant out for a radiator swap or something maybe I’ll make the switch. I know a couple are running red on here if I remember correctly. AI says that the red has low levels of silicates that the pink does not, which can “plate” minor imperfections and mask early seepage in gasket areas and water pump seals.

Good to know! It apparently offers slightly better cooling as well...just a shifter shelf life or use...more frequent drain and fills...
