I did get mine. I know someone covered it already I think, But does anyone know the return address/instruction for returning the core?

I believe you send it back to cruisersandco. Drain VB overnight and package it up. I wrapped a rag and bagged it before boxing mine to IPT.

Picked up a mishimoto coolant tank at a decent discount for the Magnuson. Never really liked the plastic tank that came stock.

It’s pretty nice in my opinion

Some folks have had issues with the stock tank leaking. Mine always had dry coolant crusted on the rim of the tank for some reason but never noticed any leaking from the barbs. The plastic tank also just felt kinda cheap to me lol.
The cap on the mishimoto also clicks to avoid over tightening it.

    138+tax

Oh neat! Wonder how big of an upgrade it is over the stock pump of the 2650. Gonna keep it bookmarked and see if the stock pump has any info on it to compare. Thanks!

I believe the basic Bosch pump puts out 3.94 gpm while the zzperformance puts out 9.24gpm. The greater volume/flow aids in cooling.
I bought a cheap 2.5 liter tank that I'm going to convert the 1/2 inch ports to 3/4npt to have a little bit more volume. Not like @armyoffoo ice tank but almost .75 gallon of fluid will help. Been thinking of using distilled water and water wetter for cooling in intercooler.

That's pretty close to some info I ran across stating around 4 to 4.5gpm on the stock pump, so looks like I'll be ordering the zzperformance pump

Honest question but why would you ever need that extra flow? How hard are you running your truck? Or is this just for shits n giggles of having more than what is needed?

I just wrapped up a 400 mile round trip at 14k gross pulling my camper through PA mountains. 70-75mph avg. 5mpg. Sustained 4-5 psi of boost for about 90% of the time, sometimes for 30 min at a time with AFR pegged at 10.9/11. Trans pan stayed at 200 ish the whole time and TC never got above 225 before a lockup brought it down to 200-207. Coolant at 199.7 pretty much the entire time.

Just got obd fusion setup to monitor trans temps and I was pretty surprised to see 30 mile commute home thats ends in 5-6 mile 1000ft climb my pan temp hit 235ish and TC around 255 with mild temps of 72F outside. No towing or load, other than my fat ass...

As soon as GCS is restocked, I'll be buying the kit.

I'd say he was lying but there is a route that, instead of crossing over the mountains quickly, runs along them and gradually gets you across them. It's essentially the entire state in length to cross. Truck/RV GPS defaults to that path. It is one of the hardest, prolonged tows I've made as well, pre-FI. @Silver17 can probably better explain the routes.

Be careful adding to much flow to your coolant. You should check differential temperature on supply n return. You want that coolant to hang out long enough to create heat exchange.

It's mostly for cooling the intercooler as best as possible to reduce IAT's. Flow and volume to cool the intercooler with a fast exchange of heat. Cooler intake air for more HP. At this point we're just squeezing out as much as possible.

This. The more the pump flows, the colder the temps, tested over and over again by several companies. If you google "intercooler pump flow testing" you will find well-documented examples from reputable companies.

I was also under the impression that too much flow doesn’t allow the fluid to absorb it quickly enough to be any more efficient, and in some cases, less efficient.

But it appears I may be incorrect in my assumptions..

Since I have a 2021, there is no thermostat to pin open. That will change once I install the trans cooling brick with the kit.

When you say adding in a cheap 2.5 liter tank do you mean like a cheaper version of the 2 gallon one prospeed sells?

From a design perspective you are 100% correct, I always keep this in mind. Sounds like both pumps operate under the efficiency range where additional fluid velocity still allows enough delta T.

I go down these rabbit holes of design vs "real world" regularly :)

The ZZPerformance pump I'm sure doesn’t hurt, I also doubt it makes a large difference. IMO if yours is shot and you need to replace it, by all means try it out. As found in those Interchiller and Lingenfelter articles, the quoted flow rates are usually measured pumping water from one open tank to another, and does not account for system restriction and pressure drop. Even as shown in the lingenfelter testing, when you compare the 55GPM pump to the 5GPM stock Bosch pump actually installed in the car with stock 3/4” hoses, it only actually flowed .1GPM more. 3.7 Vs 3.6 GPM. I’d save your money unless you need a new pump. If you’re going to maximize flow and go to -16 lines and eliminate all 90 degree bends and such in the system as suggested in that article, then use the significantly larger Interchiller EMP pump that can probably start to make a big difference. The EMP pump referenced in the Interchiller page though is far larger and capable of way more flow than the standard Bosch and ZZP pump. That EMP pump is a monster and also draws 19 amps! That’s a serious electrical load.

The prospeed doesn't appear to have the low pressure cap that most have, 10psi.
It's a small unit and we fit next to the radiator and windshield washer. It needs 3/4npt bungs for proper cooling. If there isn't enough room to drill/tap up to 3/4 I have my neighbor tig some new bungs in.
