She sounds like she wants to start but doesn't turn over.

Pretty much no change since changing out the timing belt, I had the marks lined up, turned it manually a few times didn't feel any resistance or crunching.

Let’s clarify terminology here. Turns over means when you turn the key the engine rotates. Now, due to the super sketchy belt and possibility of damage done, prior to trying to start it, did you do a compression test?

No compression test. Guess I should give that a try next.

    Stop everything.

If the engine cranks, get starter fluid (ether) from the store if you don’t have a can already.

Spray a 2-3 second shot into the throttle body, just behind the throttle plate. Crank the truck. Does it catch and fire?

If not, your problem is likely with lack of spark. Test to confirm spark ASAP. If it does fire up, you have a fuel delivery issue, which could be caused by a number of things, but you just eliminated about a dozen possible issues with that one basic test. We need to know which one of the two it is in order to help further.

Note: “fuel delivery issue” DOES NOT mean “go change the fuel pump”. I want to be clear on that. A bad crank position sensor or its harness being damaged can cause no-fuel situation also. But confirm with starting fluid first, and let’s move forward.

Starting fluid was a bust. Got the kit to fo a compression test.

Update! I started looking at spark on a few of the plugs, I don't have anyone to help me so I used a shitty cheap drone with camera to try & watch as turned the key, didn't see any spark on the few plugs I checked, desided to start the compression test, while holding down the key to check compression she very weakly started for all of like 3-4 seconds then died. Now I'm starting to thinks its an ignition issue, any pointers? The old alternator died & I have not put the new one on it yet either, to be kept in mind.

Are you 100% positive the timing is correct?

Are you 100% positive the crank position sensor harness isn't damaged, misrouted, or not securely plugged in?

Did you do anything stupid, like pinch the camshaft position harness wires with the water pump? (did you replace the water pump?)
Alternately, did you verify the camshaft position sensor wires are intact and OK? (it's a sensor under the driver cam cover)

Stupid question, but have you checked all your fuses?

I looked at the sensor its self looked clean & fine, I need to properly inspect harness for the crank & the cam, I have not replaced the water pump you. If I can get it to start then I'll replace the water pump, to me might as well not dirty a new part of I never get it to start. I checked the fuses several times since after she cut out, I can check them again.

I'd go back over all the connectors, all your grounds, etc. I guess.

There's so many things you could get wrong while tearing down all the stuff to do timing belt, poorly connecting a ground wire, not completely clicking down a sensor connector, so many things that will cause a no-start condition.

Looks like your cam seals are (or were) leaking. I wonder if that's why your timing belt shredded?

I think so, the belt itself didn't look too bad.

Well she cut on & stayed on while I was testing the coils again, this time I checked 6/8 & she cut on while testing the 6th one, they coils didn't spark until the key was not being cranked which I found interesting, I'm going to try new coils & plugs & see if that solves the issue.

Unless I'm reading you wrong, might wanta consider removing the plugs in order to properly check compression.

Great news, I ripped everything apart again, put in a new crank & cam sensor, plus new coils & wires, & she finally fired up, thanks everyone for helping me along this difficult journey. I'm gonna finish her up, give her a good bath & take some good pictures for you to enjoy!

If those coils are Denso/factory don’t toss them. May be good for troubleshooting in the future, especially if you went with aftermarket (lifespan on aftermarket is 2-4, sometimes 3-5 yrs if you’re lucky)

Congrats getting up and running again! Hopefully you tucked your crank position wire harness away correctly behind the bracket!
