Fuel door hinge broke, turns out they get stuck and metal fatigue happens.

I could not just buy the hinge & it's riveted in. New ones come primered. I levered the outer door off & swapped mine onto the black hinge.

Think I forgot to post the Bronco was vandalized again, this time in the Sprouts parking lot.

Tuesday I reserved a Tahoe for yesterday, got to Enerprise, they said we have a minivan & a Rogue sport.

Not a fan, has this silly nonsense:

Man, what the hell? How does that even happen that high up? Time to invest in some always-on dash cameras...

I'm unaware of anyone that childish or mad at me, I literally only drive the Bronco to the car wash & gas station, my wife & daughter were at the market & she literally drives like a little old lady so I seriously doubt she pissed anyone off, all I got is some jealous asshat wanted to damage a car nicer than they have.

Last time it was a homeless person at the state capitol mad he could not get in to steal something (literally what he told the CPD when they caught him)

Moving slowly, in addition to taking care of my wife, & "normal" insomnia our shepherd has epilespy, Saturday night in a deep sleep he had a series of seizures, the worst yet, it was horrific & lasted over 5 minutes EACH, yup, when the first one ended, about 5 minutes later he had a second. That is a first. After cleaning up the bile from his mouth & total evacuation of his bladder & bowels, he then as "usual" was disoriented & does not sit still, usually for about 30 minutes, this time it was over an hour. I thought he was ok & he wanted to go outside so I let him & he fell in the pool TWICE.

    No fun.

Forgot to post the pictures of the slow progress. :p

I'm sorry for your loss, we have lost many over the years, the one before this one was 110 lbs, WGSD like him, she lived to 16, the first big dog in 20 years that made it past 6.

He is super hyper and is almost always all over the place. He is really funny.

The hits keep coming, my wife needs another procedure, the left breast is infected.

And in a smaller but just salt in the wound moment, the pool motor died, that's another 1200 down the toilet.

Lower coolant hose, coolant & S54 oil cooler line at the filter housing (which is a massive pita to get lined up) are all that is left.

That's a pretty high delta, where is your temp sensor located? Before or after the intercooler?

It is in the back of the intake manifold, upper right hand corner where the nut is.

That's down from over 160! I still need to install the AEM Water/meth kit & get e85, the station I planned on getting it from under 5 miles away no longer has it, next closest is 18 miles away.

Also, no intercooler, no room, that's why I went e85 & meth.

    Screenshot 2025-05-18 at 10.03.34 AM.png

It is an earlier version with bigger runners, full explanation here:

Are you going to spray just water first to see what cooling it does? When meth hits the temp sensor it will cool the sensor and not give a true reading. Are you going to try the 250cc pintle first or 500cc? Interested in seeing the cooling effect.

The nozzle is the largest that came in the kit, not sure what size. It is pointing into the TB, not sure that it would skew the sensor seeing as it is all the way in the back of the intake between cylinder 5&6.

Based on this thread, looks like these cars IATs run hot.

    https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/...mperature-Readings-What-s-the-normal-op-range

    post 8

The air temp got to 96F yesterday: at 70mph on cruise control, IAT 136F, ECT 194F. Then the air temp dropped to 93F on a two-lane county road; doing 55mph, the IAT climbed to 141F before settling back to 140F. ECT was steady at 194F, oil was steady at ~198F, MAF was jumping around 2.5lb/min. So it seems that ambient and IAT aren't a 1:1 relation.

Need someone to step up and report on a "CAI".

    post 16

Just repeated the exact same test but with a Dinan CAI. 65F ambient, 84F intake temps measured at 70mph w/ cruise. Same stretch of road for the same distance. Going to pull the driver's side brake duct this weekend a will run the same test if the ambient temp in my area is the same. For the record, my Long Term Fuel Trims have increased by 3% which is probably due to the increased airflow from the CAI as measured by the MAF.

I have a big ass aFe cone down in the bumper in front if an open grille where the fog was so it's getting air as cool as it's getting.

In contrast, here is the tree today when it was 82 ambient.

Usually the 1000cc pintle is for 500hp + and higher boost in the 25 psi range. Or 600hp in the 10-25psi range. I started with 250cc and then went with the 500cc. But definitely play around with the different settings. The 1000cc may use make you go through more w/m and could cause it to bog down if spraying too much at low rpm.

Thanks, I will try the middle one.

The e85 I got tested well.

Because the standalone is doing the e85 for the BMW, I got the harness to use the kit I got for the Sequoia.

Definitely try the 1000cc pintle as you'll have double the amount of water. Water really helps with reducing knock and youll up the octane with Meth. I was only mentioning the pintle size to reduce any bogging down you may experience. This can also be remedied by reducing the amount of pump pressure.
Looking forward to see what it does.

    Ok, I'll leave it lol

    I'm draining 12 gallons of Premium 91 e10 out tomorrow & replacing it with the e82.5 :p

We'll see how that goes after I get it in and a log to the tuner. It likes the 9.1 so far.
