How many channels are you guys setting up in your builds and how are you arranging them?

    3 (front, rear, sub)?
5 (FR, FL, RR, RL, sub)?

I would assume 5 would produce better sound but also come at a higher price tag. I'm laying out how I want to upgrade my son's non-JBL 9 speaker system. Any recs/tips appreciated.

    Thanks!

    What’s wrong with stock?
I recently completed an install in my 22. I have the non-jbl 9 speaker system with 14 inch screen on a sr5.

I set up 5 Chanel’s fr, fl, rr, rl and sub. I used the Jl stealth box as the sub, and JL c3-650’s front and rear. I set them up as components and running them passive. These speakers can also be set up as coaxial speakers. This is powered by an Audiocontrol d5-1300 amp. Although the amp has DSP built in, I didn’t see the need for more wiring and extra amps/channels running it active. I also deleted the front center speaker.

Nice and loud. Great bass and super clean sound. Everyone that has heard it has complimented the sound quality.

Thanks for the rundown! I’ve been looking at a 3 channel setup due to simple wiring with harnesses from TT/others but also researching the 5 channel. Thanks again

You can use this harness from Amazon or crutchfield. It works for two or four Channels.
