PCV Valve Replacement Instructions-4.7L

Ha. Just did mine today. Still 'rattled', but definitely a little black. Given how quick it is to do and how reasonable the part it OEM, I guess I would suggest just doing it same time as the timing belt.

 

I want to say Toyota calls for every 30k? Or maybe 50k. I forget but looked it up at one point.

 

Well dang, I guess every 90k won't cut it! Maybe when you do the diff fluid would be better.

It's a 10 minute job and about a $10 to $11 part (even less in a '25 percent off' sale). Can do it while the fluid is draining.

 

I'd probably say to change PCV valve at same time as the rear diff vent. As long as you're not towing and thus doing diff juice every 30k per the book, maye a good time. Or every other diff juice change would likely be fine also.
