    Many on the way.
This is a good time to point out that the older TRD TVS1900 has a drive design that has much better shaft support. With two bearings giving the drive shaft a ride inside and totally supported by the cast snout prior to the coupler, it’s straight beef. The new larger TVS 2650 has a single bearing out at the pulley, and replies on the rotor pack bearing to support the shaft after the coupler. The TVS 1900 for the 3.5 2GRFKS in the Tacoma has the same less durable design.

With that said, the newer single bearing design with exposed driveshaft certainly will flow better. It’s also spinning significantly slower to achieve the same or greater flow numbers… but then the rotor pack bearing has a larger heavier rotor, it would be interesting to take a deeper dive and try to factor everything in.

Glad I listened to my installer and pushed for warranty on my 2650 then, I didn't like the noise as soon as I heard it since it was extremely loud when it initially started up. Once I get the unit shipped and Magnuson updates me on whatever they find, I'll be sure to post it here.

Did we ever get competitive Dragy's on the turbo crowd?

I know a couple of us have a draggy. I’m working through some other expenses before I snag one.

    Define competitive.

I shared a valid slip and I'm #12 on the Dragy leaderboard. While nowhere near the top 5, I'd say it's competitive. My invalid (low sat signals) 5.21s is good for top 10. I think that is pretty good since it is essentially an off-the-shelf offering and was run at 6.7psi. Over in the turbo thread, @Silver17 and I were discussing our best runs and the lag is (IMO) negligible in the grand scheme of it all, and that is using a recently discontinued, entry-level turbo, not a next gen or ball bearing option. I don't think the turbo isn't competitive, but I appreciate needing to get one into the 4's to end that debate. I'll be there once it is running again, and I suspect Jesse or Centex are nearly there as their trucks currently sit. Just need the proof.

I’m definitely interested in seeing what 8psi does with the turbo. Especially if someone has a truck on 34s/35s and stock gears like mine running a similar weight for a better direct comparison. I’m not convinced the gears make as big of a difference acceleration wise on a boosted truck, other benefits like towing aside. If I could ever get mine installed maybe I could find out…

I'd really like to get mine dialed in at around the 8-10psi mark but I'm going to need a bigger fuel pump to do it. Even at 60psi with the stock pump I'm bumping the limits of the upgrade MAF and fueling at 6.8ish PSI. That's going to the back burner though as my primary focus is getting my k5 blazer driving (hopefully today after a 4yr build) and dialed in and then sold and pick up a 3rd gen camaro for a father/kid project.

Thanks! I have had that valid slip for a while and never tried to use the social/sharing part of Dragy. I just wanted the slips to share here. It was an eye opening moment when I saw where it landed.

I don't regret it. The AEM without the "suggested" solenoid I absolutely regret, but the turbo is doing everything I expected and perhaps more, and better. I'm really looking forward to getting into the fun side of things now that the questions and uncertainty are behind us. It works. It's competitive. The proof exists in all forms to support those claims. The interesting parts are coming up in random discussions, though. The warranty/replacement topic from last evening was pretty eye opening for me.

Regardless, boost is cool. 4 or 5 seconds in a sleeper is cool. 500-600 (700?) whp and 500-600 (700-750?) wtq is insanity! And both options will get you a smile on you and your passenger's faces.

I think, if we could ever get them compared, the difference in the gearing will be seen in the rest of the powertrain (e.g. valve body), though I can see them giving 34s/35s a better launch as well. Not sure how much that will be seen in a 0-60 time, though. We can probably try to compare timelines in our Dragy slips and see if there is any noticeable difference in shift times. I might get to 3rd faster than you?

    Everything is bigger in Texas.

I did have my diesel at 60psi on a single turbo with meth injection back in college. That was a fun ride.

The gearing helps no matter what. You aren't in boost during normal driving (at least turbo'd) so the gears are going to be benefitting you there. Towing you still have the mechanical advantage of the gearing which helps strain on the drivetrain. This is even more critical in my opinion because boost adds extra load to the drivetrain so having the mechanical advantage to ease some of that off is a good thing.

ProSpeed requires 60PSI for their supercharged tunes, it's not uncommon, most injectors come with data for running at 58-60PSI

Go to Page 2 and entry 2 regarding installation.

    2. installation of the system by an approved installer.

Unless I missed something this seems pretty clear.

They have conflicting wording throughout the website. Speak with their tech/warranty dept to clear it up. From their warranty form.

While I'd love to install it my left hip is all F'ed Up!
They did a replacement but have had to go back in 4 times now to fix it.
Have to walk with a cane if I'm going to walk any distance or stand up for an extended period.
SUCKS!!! I have all these tools and for the most part I cant use em for very long.
And I havent even hit 60 yet!!!

That's too bad. I'm coming up there too and feel it. It's always imperative to have a competent person work on your stuff. Definitely need someone you trust working on your truck/gear.

Anyone out there install a Maggie 2650 on a 2018 Tundra. Apparently I have to get software from Magnuson/HP tuners and download it on my laptop and then hook up the RTD tuner(which came with the Supecharger) and update to the latest tune from them. Just asking to see if anyone went through this and gauging the difficulty level. Apparently the tune is specific to the 2018. Thanks in Advance!

This is standard even on the 1.9 and other blowers if sticking with the factory tunes not difficult at all.

I'd move to the @TurboKits bigger injectors before going down in size. What's the issues with the 750cc's?
