Costly yes, but not really terrible for what you get. That said, my truck is heavy, tires are heavy, and I have Stoptech cryo rotors mated to EBC yellow stuff pads and it will certainly stop quickly when the need arises.

Pads and rotors go a LONG way.

The fact it has dual piston calipers up front makes life easier.

I had a stoptech kit on my GTI, and it was overkill for daily driving. Made my track days much better. Repeated hard braking from 120+ necessitated it.

So I understand why some of you have upgraded (big tires/racing etc) and the reason for the upgrade. The drivers around you say thank you. I can't stand seeing Jeeps on 37-40" tires and absolutely no braking upgrades.

The braking system on the tundra has been tested up to max GCVWR . I personally would see how the brakes perform first and then maybe consider a pad upgrade for towing.
