Honestly I didn't look much into that. The heating pad is on top of the foam seat and heats upwards against the leather. No fires in 3 plus years. If I recall I think the heating element in the rostra is good for leather or cloth seats. Your install would be much easier and seems like it would be safe. Maybe an email or call to rostra would clarify though. They had good support when I bought mine and asked a bunch of questions

Awesome, just what I wanted to hear, I'll give them a shout and talk to Carhartt and see if they have any concerns about the heat; thank you!

For sure. My wife loved them so much when we were looking for a new car for her she wouldn't get a car without heated seats. Our daughter just turned 16 and the sequoia is now hers and she's already spoiled by everything I did to that car for my wife. First born though so she absolutely deserves it.

Got my rock warriors installed today.

powder coated gold with powder coated chrome rings. Had some 1.25” spidertrax on standby. I needed them. The rock warriors with 35x12.5x17 toyos hit the spc ucas. So I added the spacers.

running the new toyos, with balance bags for wheel balancing and the spacers rode like a dream.

Hey, I forgot to ask on your other post regarding the RW wheels.... You said the 'chrome' rings were PC'd I believe, and I was just wondering if you used an actual chrome color or something more of a satin. Appearance, at least in the photos, makes them appear to have a more satin finish to them!

so it’s more than a satin but not a true chrome in terms of relfective-ness. You get a reflection but with orange peel affect.

I love it. Didn’t want to do black which is more common and couldn’t be happier

it’s from a company called resz fabrications, now out of business.

there was a whole thing with them and these bumpers. I set up a group buy with them that turned into a whole deal where buyers were promised a back end percentage off if a certain number of bumpers were sold. It never came, then the shipping times went from a couple months to over a year. I think all our members finally got their bumpers though which was a good thing.

then the fitment was off. That was a whole other deal on it self.

I have threads for both topics under

I like the look of that bumper. It's like a cross between an nfab and Ironman raid.

Replaced my tailgate shock and also replaced the broken plastic bushing with this aluminum one. Had to use the Dremel and sand out the receiver side of the tailgate and sand the bushing some as the initial fit was very tight. We'll see how it holds up. I plan to keep some grease in there to prevent any oxidation since it is aluminum against steel.
