What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Selling them. They've got 295/55/20 Toyo Open Country A/T IIIs on them and they still have some life left.

 

I'd be interested if the price is right.

Finished up executing and installing the idea I had the other day. I wanted to see if it was feasible to have another reverse camera active whenever the tailgate is down. Used a Natika camera mounted underneath the rear bumper wired to a video switcher I had laying around to the reverse camera input of the Sony 9500ES head unit. Now, I can trigger front and side cameras from the steering wheel controls or head unit, and also toggle between the two reverse cameras with a separate toggle switch.

 

THAT is very cool! Well done!

I don't want to get rid of my 1794 grill, but I want a subtle pop of color, so I took some translucent tape and put my own stripes on it. Don't mind all of the pollen on the truck and the broken grill. This is just a test run.

Thoughts?

I've had the thought of doing something similar for a while.
Did you add switches inside to toggle between the different views, or are you using the steering wheel controls to navigate through the options on the head unit?
What side cameras do you have, and where are they mounted?

Are you talking about the Scrubbing Bubbles stuff I use to clean my shower?? If so, that looks like it does a pretty good job!

 

The only toggle switch I have is to toggle between the 2 different reverse cameras since I had a video switcher laying around and it took a 12V trigger.

I programmed the Maestro RR unit for the Sony 9500ES so that I can use “back” button with either a short or long press to toggle the front or side views, respectively.

The side cameras are the CSV-TUN from Crux Interfacing - they are a direct fit for the panel underneath each side mirror. Those cameras I ran to a 4-channel video processor since I only had 1 additional input available on the Sony unit.

 

I looked under my rear seats and am gonna see about maybe adding some foam back there to carry an AR.

 

Guess I am ignorant.... that is the same grill on my limited.

Yeah, I like that idea too. I think I'm gonna do the gun cabinet. I like being to securely transport them wherever I'm going. Never know when I might need them.

 

Now that's what call a truck gun setup. I was trying to come up with ideas for the backside of the folding seats, not on the rear bulkhead, for SBR.

I got mine thinking the same, problem is anything mounted on the side rail will prevent the lid from closing. 3 1/4 deep with very thin carpet, 10 3/8 wide. Hope this helps.

 

ARK Splash Shields installed and also finally got around to getting the bung welded in so I could finish connecting my AFR gauge. Not sure why the gauge reading looks cut off in the pictures, but it displays fully on the gauge.

Finally upgraded to the new TRD Pro grille. Previously had the older gen TRD Pro grille, but the TSS errors were driving me crazy… wish I’d done it sooner!
