That's reasonable for a destination campground.

that campground is a shithole right next to the busy highway.

Do you have a set of bubble levels installed on your camper? I have one on the front driver side which makes it easy to get out and check when using the levelers on one axle.

I bought some and thought they were stick on, they were not. So I havent installed them yet. I have a magnetic one I keep with the first out stuff, I use that for now to level. The end goal is to get one of the fancy electronic ones.

I just took a level with me as back up. Seemed my factory ones that came on my camper were not as reliable.

First lesson to be learned is just like in Florida camping in the summer in Texas without A/C is Damn Near impossible!!!
Cant say I've ever woke up in the morning feeling refreshed tent camping in the summer in Texas.
I ended up buying a custom made canvas tent with an A/C opening on the side of the tent.
You'd set the A/C unit on a short table with the custom made sock with a drawstring connected to it.
Right about sundown you'd wet the tent down and fire up the A/C.
You could hang meat in the tent!!!!
    Now I'm all about campers!!
The only drawback is you cant pull the camper down the beach.
I suppose you could try but you're likely to get stuck.
The only way would be to come in at low tide and leave at low tide so you could drive on the wet sand.

I much prefer the curved levelers to blocks. Also, get one of these, you can set your phone on the center console and watch as you inch up the levelers until level. Also you can do the same thing even before starting to set up as you pull into your site to find where the ground is more level.

Forgot to mention I purchased these.... they are being returned. For some, they will probably work great. For me, I took them off to add tire pressure (all read low and accurate) and two of them did not alarm to the loss of pressure. Plus, they all did not consistently connect. I decided to do a tire/valve stem/monitor upgrade next year so I will just ride blind until then.

I just checked tire pressure at stops and before starting out each trip.

I have decided to go this route for sure. I did it until now and had some points to spend so I bought this... unreliable. Next up, old faithful.

We used to take the 60 mile run down Padre National Seashore.
60 miles and you might see a couple of people.
The wildlife was amazing!! And the Huge Dunes!!!
They were easily 100 ft tall!!
We saw a bunch of Huge Manta Rays that were easily 12 foot across leaping out of the water!!!
Apparently they do this to dislodge the sucker fish and other parasites.
It really shows you what the beaches used to look like before getting overpopulated!!!

That looks slick. Going to check it out. Is it just one unit to get it level from side to side or does it do front to back too?

I'll see if I can find some of the Pics from our trips down Padre.
Might have to get them put on a thumb drive.
There's a service out there that does this.
