Hello everyone, I'm new to Tundra Platform and I need to replace the whole front end suspension, was wondering where to start? I will be doing the LBJs very soon. But I'd like to replace everything bit by bit (money is pretty tight rn) what parts should I start with??

First. Start here. Seriously. Read our first two replies. Don’t skim them, read them, it’s our collective knowledge: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

Lower ball joints always first. Always OEM. That thread explains why and gives link to another thread with ample pics.

From there you need to assess. Which bushings are ok? UCA? LCA? Swaybar links? Swaybar bushings?

Are your lower adjuster cams OK, or frozen? Are you in the rust/salt belt?

    So many questions.

You can get OEM parts pretty cheap but you just missed a 25% off national sale that, with combined discounts from the national parts site, could’ve netted you 40-50% off retail/MSRP. Another one will be here near Independence Day.

Be aware of the importance of the timing belt change, and what needs to be changed with it. The timing belt is a V8 killer in these trucks.

I was sure to scan the forums before buying the truck. I was lucky enough to buy it from the original owner and he maintained it and kept records of the work done. The truck is at 235k frame was replaced at 124k, timing belt and radiator were changed at 184k. The only thing that was done recently was sway bars, struts and shocks, and steering rack bushings. I was able to acquire the LBJs on sale so that is a plus. Every else looks like the Titanic (just rust belt things I guess :p)
