Leaking Coolant

Leaking something clear looking from this hose near oil filter…doesn’t smell like oil I’m thinking coolant? Dripping like crazy

 

What exactly are we supposed to be looking at here? Was this supposed to be a video? Maybe try again.

More than likely coolant, however Toyota coolant is either pink or red. What color is the coolant in your radiator/overflow tank?

 

Level is low which is another sign I guess but what’s left is clear looking. Could it be as easy as clamping this hose tighter?

 

I would say no. It looks like it's leaking before the clamp. Which means the hose is bad. Also, you're probably going to want to flush that coolant out and put the correct stuff in.

You know what particular hose is needed for that?

 

That hose goes from the oil cooler, to a hose barb on the drivers side of the engine block. Should be stupid easy to replace

 

Ideally yes, but I use Zerex Asian 50/50. Whatever you use, MAKE SURE you get a full flush. You don't want to be mixing different coolants.

Got off work and was able to tighten it up and no more leak so far
