I've got one fob and its on it's last leg, only one button works. Does anyone know an affordable source for factory installed fobs for 2003 tundras?toyota fob.jpg

Haven't tried for my Tundra, but I did find some for my 2001 Isuzu Trooper on Ebay that worked well. I would like to find OEM for the Tundra, but I kind of think that ship has sailed.

Not that you would but don’t throw away the case that still has a good key ring intact.

I got mine on eBay. Make sure the FCC ID matches, AND that it has the little tiny LED above the lock button.

And when you need programming instructions, the ODFs and instructions are in the megathread.

My 2006 didn't come with a fob because it's a base model. When I bought my 2004 it came with a fob and I don't know if it works, never tried it. I tossed it in a kitchen drawer and forgot about it. I can't imagine why anyone would want to carry that bulky thing in their pocket.

That is my fcc ID, the pic looks the same as the ones I ordered from eBay. Did you’re original fob have the led on it?

No fobs when I bought the truck. Cleared the keys and reprogrammed both new fobs without any issues.

I don't know...I bought a new one (aftermarket) with the same FCC ID, but no LED (I knew not nor cared not at the time). I tried to program it on and off many times, but could just not get it to work. I presumed that was because the memory was full (4 fobs max), and I'd have to blow it away to reprogram the one OEM fob I had, along with the new eBay model. Since I had one that worked, I was reluctant to erase them all and wind up with none. Finally I got the courage to blow away the memory, and add them back. By this time I was so good at the programming sequence I could do it from memory! The OEM fob connected on the first try, but the new one (no LED) did not, even after many, many tries over several days. I gave up in disgust! Later, I read somewhere (not here) about the LED, so I bought a used OEM fob on eBay for ~$30. It worked on the first try!

I don't know why this is, and since I now have two working fobs I don't need to understand (my little brain is already full of other stuff). I'll gladly send it to you, or anyone else who's willing to try.

Damn. Just got them today and no led light like the factory but they programmed fine on the first try. I lucked out!

I think @w666 may've just gotten a bad fob or something? Super weird.
