Quite a bit as I grease them often given the amount of dust they see.

ok right on it’s my first time having to do maintenance on bushings so wasn’t sure what I should be looking for. Thank you!

what grease do you use for the uca bushings. Do you have to loosen the uca to grease? I only ask because it takes some convincing to get grease to go in for me. But than again it could be the grease gun that I’m using. Ball joint I have no issues it’s just the bushings

It's a low demand application, anything will work. I use Lucas red cause that what I've got the most of. I've had bushings that won't take grease, if it's not a clogged zirk then it's just too tightly to accept grease. Seems unlikely with the bushings icon uses but possible

Yeah you should always loosen the UCA bushing when pressing grease in. It can actually damage/bulge the bushing if grease is forced in with pressure on them. You should loosen the nut which will relax the pressure on the bushings. Then, press in grease until you see the bushing ends begin to move. That is enough grease.

Those bushings aren't something that require greasing every day as @AZxp has alluded to so it's not as if they'll need it every oil change!

Are all Icon UCAs like that. I figure at one point I’ll have to service mine. I hope the guys at Toyota initially greased mine. Thanks for the feedback.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered new wheels and tires, I went with 17" Method 703's wrapped in 35 x 12.5 BFG KOs. I've been waiting to lift the truck since May of last year (was waiting on the TRD lift) I abandoned that idea back in November and ordered the Icon stage 5 3.5" lift, but that has been on hold while I've been waiting for the passenger side red axle (on back order from Toyota). But the dealer says my axle will ship in a few weeks. I'm really looking forward to finally having the truck looking more my style instead of an old man truck.

have you thought about getting the Trd lift axles? they are a little cheaper and are in stock vs the red axles.

Looks great! I cant tell from the pics, but what is the offset on those RRW Wheels? and what size are the Coopers?

I have some 295/10/18 on my TRD pro wheels however I ordered the RRW RS7 wheels 18x8.5 +25 offset.

I noticed there were a few comments/questions about the rear of the lower control arm contacting the upper portion of the lower ball joint knuckle when turning. Did anyone find a solution to that issue? I recently lifted my tundra and the turning radius of the truck has gone to crap and I noticed the same issue. I'm curious if anyone knows if the lower knuckle on the TRD lift kit addressed that issue or if it is something we have to live with?

Nicely done. 3rd Gens need beefy tires to fit the rest of the truck and this looks perfect

After lifting my tundra, it now has a worse turning radius than our 12 yard Dump truck, lol. Would be nice if there was a “fix.”

@Dirtsurfer83 I'm hoping I can get by a dealership at some point to look at a tundra with the TRD lift installed and see if the lower knuckle is different than the stock one. Someone posted in another thread that they replaced the lower ball joint knuckles and that solved their issue. The lift kit the used is different than the one I used but I'm hoping it will solve the turning issue. If someone, who has the TRD lift installed, can post a picture of the front and back side of the lower ball joint knuckle that might help.

Couple of questions. I have the OE TRD OR package on the truck.

What is the comparable aftermarket shock to this? The 5100? Or something else? I’m very happy with the ride quality of the stock suspension. Had Fox 2.0 coilovers on my F150, and while they were great off-road and washboard dirt roads, they topped out easily and they were pretty harsh.

I’m looking to level the front, not really interested in the rear for the time being and was looking at a full coil over setup at the outset, and didn’t want to sacrifice ride quality, just needed a bit more lift in the front.
    Suggestions?

Hi everyone. This thread has a lot of great information. I'm about to install the 3" TRD lift on my 25' Tundra SR5. I'm trying to find any info on problems with the Toyota safety sense. Has anyone had issues after a lift? If so, what was the fix? Thanks in advance!

i'm in same boat had a 2018 with the fox 2.0 installed with a 3inch lift, and it got totaled.

ended up getting a 2025 platinum with a TRD Off Road Package, but want to level it, and get similar from the fox shocks, but not sure what to get.
