Nope, it’s solid. There is no rhyme or reason for the failing, hoping it’s just a bad RR2

I recently had new RR2 with the resistor already in place, No TPMS working. After troubleshooting with Maestro, and cutting off the heat shrink of the resistor, it was a 200 not 2000 installed. The tech was confused, and wasn’t convinced until I sent them a photo. Cut it out, and TPMS popped up immediately.

I called iDATALINK, they said it is hit or miss on 07-21 Tundras/08-22 Sequoias, they have added & removed the resistor trying to fix the issue & that it is impossible to know, he said he had not seen a deal like mine where it worked without it, then stopped & needed the resistor. Crutchfield shipped a new RR2 & said if it does not work they will send a harness with the resistor.

    FWIW, HRN-HRR-TO1 1.0-1.2 don't have the resistor, 1.3-1.7 has it, 1.8 & 1.9 no.

Got the new harness, don't see a resistor, where is it?

Follow the red wire from the ODB connector, under the tape, you should see a wire with heat shrink that bridges into the red power wire from the main harness. The resistor is in that bridge wire under the heat shrink.

This is why I love this forum so much...just had a new head unit installed in my 2016 (swapped a Kenwood 1057 in for an older Pioneer NEX) and ran into the dreaded N/A on my TPMS readout screen. Older RR, so I suspect it's either a reset or a resistor fix. Looked here in the forum for help and a host of you have already dealt with this. Yay me!
