    IMG_0585.jpg

From building an 80 series Land Cruiser and GX470 in the past we have an extensive wish list and plans for this build. Suspension lift, 18" Methods w/37" tires, front/rear bumpers, front/rear winch, full underbody armor, lights, electronics, storage, roof rack, smart cap canopy... Some of this will come fast.

    Step one: Creature comforts

I did a bunch of research and it seemed to me that the Dasaita 13, android(CarPlay) head unit was the best bang for the buck. It took maybe 45mins to install and now that it's in I think its even better. Full Carplay - check. On the Android side though, you can get in to some of the truck settings that I wasn't aware of like "one click unlock all doors", turn off "auto lock when in drive", adjust the volume level of the lock/unlock beep, and so much more.

    IMG_0629.jpg

The Pop & Lock, tailgate power lock was also something the Tundra should just come with from the factory. Press lock and all the door AND TAILGATE lock. Press unlock and the all unlock, Amazing. This was a 30-ish min install. Sorry no picks.

Interior storage organization: The Tundra is huge inside, but the wasted/unusable space is also crazy. It'll be a long term project to get this organized better for us.
Running 4 Tacos is helping so far.

    ESP rear under seat storage:

Why didn’t Toyota do this from the factory? Such a simple and well designed product. 10/10 recommend to all crew cab owners.

    -SwitchPro 9100
-SDHQ 1794 switch pro center console mount
    -blackcatworks.com switch panel
    -sdoffroadmt engine bay mounting tray
    -ARB twin air compressor

    Here’s a big fun one.

SDHQ kills it with this 1794 matching Switch-Pros panel mounting location. Setting ourselves up for the future with the light switches and the “Aux battery” goes to a 12v rear Anderson connector on the rear bumper to DC to DC charge our trailer. The “whip” turns on our WeBoost cell booster. Both brought over from our previous Lexus GX470.

    IMG_0920.jpg

Black Cat works 3d prints this clean and simple switch panel allowing us to expand a bit. You always need more UBS ports, the ARB compressor is in and in the near future a rear locker. If you haven’t added the “anytime front/rear camera” yet, get on it.

    IMG_0824.jpg

Chatting with Derek about his engine bay mounting tray for our Switch-Pros, ARB compressor and other electronics was great and super helpful. He has great customer service and maybe too much info on what he offers with his setups. Another 10/10 recommendations.

Joining the Dirty-seven club. This is before our 3.5" lift kit is installed. A BMC, pinch weld adjusting, 1/2" front bumper spacers and no rubbing.

    Protection

    -RCI Gas tank skid
-RCI rock sliders w/step, Raptor lined

this was our first time raptor lining and I’d say it went well. Follow the directions, clean, prime and spray away.

    -SDHQ Extended brake lines
-Ironman offroad FCP 3.5” lift kit
    -Alcan Spring U-bolt flip kit

To be honest I’d love the truck to sit about and inch lower than this kit put it but that’s a future project. Very excited to find this Alcan U-bolt flip kit. Thanks to Lifestyle Overland for that.

Very nice build! You got me inspired to get back to working on the rewiring in the engine bay.

More storage: My wife is equally excited to see how this works out for us. We talked with a bunch of Decked owners and watched a lot of YouTubes about the install/removal. We still want the use of our full (small) bed and we're conident that we can pull this out in less than an hour when we need. That's acceptable to us
