Another suspension question, i looked but didn't quite find my answer.

Here it is, IIRC this was pulled out of a PDF they used to release regularly for their parts and stuff, and also gives the spring rates, #of coil turns, etc. This actually matches the numbers Montana posted above.

 

Good info on these seems hard to find. Especially when our application is "off-label". Can't ask OME 1st gen Tundra-specific questions, because they don't make shocks or coils for first gen Tundras. But I guess the pound rating should be a question they can answer regardless of vehicle. Just checked the ARB site and yes, they all have a 590lb spring rate.

 

For what you want to do, you could just avoid anything fancy and go with a
Monroe 171347R Monroe Quick-Strut Complete Strut Assembly. They're not great, but they're inexpensive and they would be a far cry better than what you have. You would have very little invested and when you're ready to upgrade to a nice set-up you could probably still sell these off. They're like $89 on Amazon.
I normally wouldn't recommend these, but again, for what you're trying to do, seems like the most painless for the pocketbook.
