Exactly what happened to my driver side cat. It blew apart and was blocking flow. Plus I had constant misfires until I threw on the SPD downpipes.

No need. I have your original file from prior work (30CM22 VIN ending in 9046 correct?)

If so, here's your stock file with the 8AR Ignition Coil Dwell edits made in the background. As you can see by the percentage of change made, the Tundra coil dwell settings are not charging the 8AR coils nearly enough for them to be at peak capacity.

Here is the % change required:

Is anyone here monitoring their intercooler fluid temperature? I was thinking of installing one of these inline adapters with a threaded port to screw a sensor into for a coolant temperature gauge.

My thought was if you wish something existed for a particular function, it probably already does. It’s just a matter of googling the right terms to find it lol. That’s what happened here.

Well I have another temp sensor I need to hook up so I now I know! Get pre and post intercooler temps was my goal.

But from my fairly limited experience so far with the intercooler temp gauge it doesn't change much. My main concern was my power steering is cooled by the intercooler cooling loop so I have two heat sources dumping in. I had always assumed the IAT matched the intercooler temp pretty close, and they do seem to match extremely close now that I can monitor both. I'd imagine with just the blower that the intercooler temps will hardly move and just mimic the IATs you're already seeing. On my buggy that's like 100-110F usually, but obviously the ONLY similarity is both engines are supercharged

Im able to monitor the true IATs since the Harrop uses an actual sensor measuring intake temperature after the intercooler entering the cylinders. It’s consistently 30-35 degrees over the ambient air temperature as the hot HX coolant circulating the engine bay gives up some heat to the intake air, but getting into boost it doesn’t move at all and stays stable (pretty awesome considering each PSI increases the leaving temp by 15 degrees theoretically.) I want to measure the HX fluid temperature to know what it really is, but seeing as the IAT is always 30 degrees over ambient, the HX coolant is probably 40-50 degrees over ambient at any given time I’d guess. I want to see what happens to the temps if I incorporate a front intercooler sprayer down the road.

    @JustDSM
I just wanted to say again, Thank you! I re-wrote the tune over your new background dwell settings. Flashed it and took it out. It does seem more responsive and I would occasionally get a random misfire, not enough to trigger a mil, on my logging but they didn't appear on my outing.
I still have to open the gap as I'm at .026 and will see how .032 goes with the 8arfts coils.

Went down a rabbit hole...found another option for transmission upgrades

8HP in a Tundra seems very doable, expensive, but doable. 4WD/AWD might be possible as well with the right Trans/T-Case, additional driveshaft and electronics for switching modes. (CANTCU only supports Dodge 8HP 70 1st Gen at this time, but contact them for support of other models) https://wiki.canformance.net/doku.php?id=cantcu:supportlist

The CANTCU would fully integrate with aftermarket ECUs like Motec or Haltec.

    Parts list:
8HP 70 Generation 1 Dodge transmission, with shifter and harness.
*You will need to modify your cross member, will need a custom driveshaft, and a shifter mount

Also there’s a thread of someone who has this conversion. Only issue they’re having is the kick down gear selection during passing

Negative here as well. Though I also didn't receive tracking on the pan, either. It just showed up.

UPDATE: Just pinged Johnny directly to inquire about an update.

My pan was delayed but just called them and he looked it up and got it out promptly. I inquired last month, for the pan, I believe it was mid March when they expected the VB's in, although I didn't order a VB.

The PML pan uses a NPT plug to check the level. I just used some Rector seal no.5. By the time I used Teflon tape to install plug for the trickle it completely stopped. No worries as I always top off with a 1/2 quart extra afterwards. Could also have a spare plug already to go too.
