    Hi!

I am new here, and I am excited to use this platform to learn more about how to DIY my truck. As such, I have a first-gen access cab that has barely 160k miles on it. The emergency brake seems to be temperature-sensitive. In warmer weather (50 degrees F and up), it works perfectly, but as soon as it gets cold, when I push in the break, it often will not stay depressed.
Any thoughts here? I suspect that the pedal mechanism needs to be adjusted, or is simply worn out. Thanks!

Absolutely what shifty' said. I've gotten SO much from that thread. Parking brake aside, read it, then read it again. Essential if you want to DIY and also essential if you decide to source out any work as you get a much better idea of what is involved.
