Hello, I whacked a deer so I finally am de-chroming my front bumper. I'm trying to get black bumper end caps, but the only ones that any parts place online says will fit my vehicle are the chrome ones with the sensor hole cutout. I've even entered my VIN. It' is this one 521130C040 that the car shop wants to give me (ew, chrome)

I can find black ones, but I get the warning they won't fit my vehicle and will only fit a "platinum" or "limited" model. I swear they visually look like the same item. I'm thinking the "SR5 Safety and Convenience Package" that came with the truck when I bought it actually just upgraded that bumper to the platinum version with sensors maybe? But I really don't want to order $200+ of parts that won't fit. Any guidance is welcome!

Thanks @shawn474 but since I already have to buy new end bumper caps, I really don't want to buy chrome ones and then put an overlay on them.

Then you will need to buy from toyota, find some used take offs or try these https://tacovinyl.com/products/copy-of-standard-tundra-rear-bumper-caps?variant=42696280768771

Those I linked will need holes drilled for parking sensors, but should work fine. And here are some with sensor holes on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/283491097865

Your VIN states you have chrome bumper ends, that is why you're getting the 'warning' the painted ones won't fit.

You can find info on parts needed to swap from chrome to painted bumper ends in the first post on this thread.
Just be warned, swapping the rear bumper ends takes a lot of parts.

Years ago, when I looked into swapping my chrome for painted it was going to cost around $1000 for parts and painting, not including labor for the swap.
I ended up with TPO black Bumpershellz and have been happy with them.

    Good luck..
