Magnuson Magnum 2650

So you’re saying I need more boost

 

I consistently hit 8-10psi with pops up to 12 psi everyday on my little 1900. The 13-14psi is only on special events. That thing is a whiner but I understand we're talking about its big bro. Whines over the 3 inch exhaust from LT's on back.

 

Would you do 650s or 750s on the 76mm? Man why are injectors so expenisive... do you know if I can run the stock maggie pump with bigger injectors ?

 

with the pulley and tune i hit 7-9psi up here but like sniv said im not constanly running WOT etc. even now i could use bigger injectors but shes runs great. ive even traveled to lower elevations and while towing

 

The 650s will be fine, but frankly they get tapped out pretty fast and aren't a huge bump over the 535s the Magnuson comes with. The issue with larger injectors is you start to run into quality concerns. I would prefer a 750 injector or even larger, but the DW injectors which ive had good luck with are only offered up to 650. The 650 should be able to run at 10-12 psi fine, especially if you bump fuel pressure with the TurboKits bolt on regulator. But you don't have much fueling to spare (with that said, 650 is the most common size people run and without issue).

The Magnuson pump is the limiting factor if you run larger injectors. Someone on the forum (I forget who has what setups) did some testing (with the 76mm at sea level) and did the DW650s first and got a boost in fueling, and then did the DW300 pump afterwards and got more fueling, meaning the Magnuson pump was limiting the flow from the 650s but the 650s alone did give a bump, just weren't fully unleashed without the pump upgrade.

 

I can definitely hear my blower with my spd exhaust but it’s not a Maggy lol

 

Yeah maybe I wait a little longer get the 750s bigger pump do it right and go with 72mm

Yea, bolts in. It'll make whatever injectors you have flow more since you can crank the pressure a bit. Couple guys running it.

 

So i could possibly run that with the 650s do like a 76mm pulley without having to drop the tank and swap the pump ?

 

I’d say do the pump. Higher fuel pressure at the regulator doesn’t mean more flow if the pump can’t supply the volume at higher RPMs to maintain that pressure. The magnuson pump probably won’t cut it.

The stock kit pump and injectors are fine for the stock pulley, and that's all magnuson cares about

 

Yeah it really is, but I'll probably buy that regulator kit first.

 

In my thoughts they made the TRD blower which I never had an issue with in my Tacoma.
Yeah....I know this is a bit old but I'm getting ready to install the Maggie in my 2016 Tundra.
