Hey all, a bit late to the forum. Got front portion of the pro kit done last night and i gotta say first ride impressions are not good. Had 35's installed last week and felt a bit heavier but pretty good overall. Now i can feel bumps alot more. I know my alignment is off so hoping that will make a difference but not likely. I know everyone seems to love theirs and thats why i got mine. Anyone run into any issues?

Once you're finished with the install and the truck is aligned is the best time to take notice of the improvements. If you get stuck anytime during the install or have any questions. feel free to reach out. I'm always happy to help.

Ok, thanks. Il wait for that. I can see how some may benefit from a firmer ride, guess i just like mine a bit on the plush side. Everything in the kit seems really high quality though

David, I got the full coach builder kit for the pro in '21. I eventually figured out the problems i was having with it. The shop did not do the wheel spacers so thats why the alignment was never within proper range. i don't think i had any issues with the CB Steering arms. I never figured out the rear wheel chatter/bounce feeling, but it may have been tire imbalance or something. I unfortunately wreck my truck last year and just picked up another 21 tundra trd pro. 295/70R18 on it. I am considering just putting another full CB kit on it with the +3 shackles again as i did before. I am not a huge fan of wheel spacers in general so wondered if there is a set of upper control arms that work to allow the stock Pro BBS wheels (+60mm offset) to be used? Have you come across any? I have only heard of one other person saying something similar about the rear end and they put on the RoadActive Suspension (helper) and said it cured it. Wondering about your thoughts on the two topics. Thanks, B

Tire pressure is everything for ride comfort! The differences between my KM3s at 20-30-40lbs is drastic. I would never go over 32lbs cold if I'm looking for a softer ride. Ride comfort on the trail at or under 20lbs is significant and promotes grip and a larger contact patch. When we get on a forest road after wheeling it feels like your riding on E load pillows...

If I have a cb +3 shackle and RAS HD on lowest setting is that going to put me riding at the top of the shock travel? Would i need to consider a longer shock as well? Fox 2.5 or 3??
Would SPC adjustable Upper control arms give me better alignment range, as i am trying to avoid spacers and aftermarket wheels? currently cannot fit a pinky between tire and stock UCA.
I am trying to learn all this stuff, and the local shops are too busy to advise. Any help or thoughts on previous post would be really appreciated

This is the alignment reading without spacers, felt unstable and twitchy and followed road on its own. CB recommendation are on the bottom, just wondering if those in the know would be able to tell if i could achieve what I'm looking for with the adjustable UCA. Thanks all

Has anyone had any negative issues using this kit? I just purchased the front Pro shims, bump stop extensions, +3 shackle, brake line extenders, and bumper spacers.
I do actually off-road my truck and just curious.

I also have a set of Bilstein/Dirt King UCA's collecting dust in the garage. Would I be better off installing them, too? I should be right at 2.5" of lift with the CB shim installed. I gained exactly 1.5" in the front when I added the Fox TRD Pro shocks. Probably going to run 285/75/18 or 35x12.50-18. Considering 305/70-18. Will be mounted on Methods at +25.
@Coachbuilder1 whats your opinion on adding the UCA? And any other tidbits. I MAY eventually add the steering components, but I will have many stock offset spare wheels, and no wheel spacers installed to use them. So, that's why I didn't do the steering stuff yet, if ever.

Personally, none of those items you listed will affect anything aside from the rake you’ll get adding the +3 shackles. (That’ll be the major thing)

Aside from that, adding a UCA won’t hurt anything. Just make sure you get an alignment after.

Old post. But correct, didn't affect anything. Everything works well. Went a bit bigger in tire than I had originally planned. Yokohama was blowing out the 315/70-18 MT's at the time. Of course that required a BMC, bumper cut, etc.

Yesterday was the day. Shim and +3 shackles with Icon tubular delta joint UCA and Method MR314’s. This is how it should have come from the factory.

just going to say I think the 314’s are super underrated on this truck. Absolutely sick in person.

A lot of nice trucks in here. Just had a question. I own a 2020 trd sport that has the 5100 bilsteins on top setting with a 1” block in the back. The truck has a stiff ride which I like. I do tow 5-6000lbs occasionally the truck has slight drop but not bad. I’ve now bought a 2021 trd pro. I like the truck however I didn’t realize how soft the fox suspension is it rides really nice I’m just concerned it will sack out when I do haul. It seems the shackles are supposed to help with that. Anyone have experience towing the their pro?

    Take a look at...

    https://activesuspension.com/products/toyota-tundra-1999-2020-hd

Easy install and it fixes the lack of a rear sway bar issue for the most part

You'll even notice that while 'unloaded' your turns, braking, etc. are more 'planted' and stable. So far, I'm not seeing any reduction in suspension travel off road, so for me it's a win/win!!

This thread has some good info/reviews from several members...

When mine was stock, I pulled a trailed a bit for a house project. Loaded probably around the 5-6k mark. It did squat, but overall pulled great.

Have seen the active suspension system a bunch on here and seems to have good reviews. Have also seen the sumo springs. No experience with either, but reviews seem positive.

    Good luck.

Just got my lift installed. Shims and +3. Everyone was right in saying the ride is so much smoother. The shackles eat up everything on the road. Well worth it. However now my wife is saying my tires are too small :(

    She's right

Then when you put larger tires on, you'll need more powa!!!

So, the door has been swung open for 5.29s and some boost :muscleflexing:

Hahaha. Yes the floodgates may have been unlocked. The problem is these tires are brand new. So may be waiting awhile.
