Hey guys! Ive got an 05 AC 4x4 V8 and just found a used Toytec kit with 5100s and an AAL. It's in the mail right now so I am trying to find wheels in the mean time. I intend to run 32s in a 275/70 R17 wrapped around Method 701 wheels. I am going to pull the trigger on the 17s with 0mm of offset and 4.75" of backspacing but cannot find any info on whether or not they will fit our trucks. I assume I will deal with a bit of rubbing and I am fine with that but can only find 2nd gens with these 701s. If any of you have had these wheels or similar size and offset I would love to hear your experience. Cheers

    I got 285/70/17 with a 2 inch lift on method 305nv 0 offset & 4.75 backspacing

They will fit with your lift and probably will rub a little on the pinch weld (this can be hammered back) and rub on the mud flaps (you will need to remove or cut them at contact points).

This will me more noticeable backing out of driveways or speed bumps.

At first I rubbed on my frame at full lock on the driver side.

I found an off road shop that mostly works on old Toyota and the alignment they did got rid of all my rubbing on the frame. Took me 4 years to figure that out. a good alignment hoes a long way.

About to purchase another set of tires same size in the next 4 months original set go me 55k miles. if I could do it all again, I would look for a wheel with -10 or -12 offset.

Frame rub and pinch weld hammered image. did this in a parking lot after rubbing for weeks. Not proud of it today. Going to clean up one day and try and put cut mud flaps back on IMG_8780.jpg

Another tundra with methods, he did a good job on his pinch welds

I almost lost this because a moderator put it over in another forum, where I won’t see it. Unfortunate. If you need my input after this reply, tag me, because I won’t see updates to the thread in the 1st gen thread list. That makes me sad. I really wish the mods would stop moving 1st gen specific info out of the 1st gen forum.

I have the same cab of truck here, as you’ll see in my signature on this reply, I was running Method 305s with same specs and your same tire size (32.5) and there’s no way I could ever say enough positive stuff while recommending the Mickey Thompsons Baja series of tires. Quiet, aggressive, stout. But beyond that, firmer was fine, and the stuff Jerry asked you to read outlines my experience.

Sounds like you went with the Aluma Boss coilovers, which is what @bmf4069 is currently running on his earlier year AC. Whether you run or not at 275/70r17 with that lift will boil down to alignment numbers. Once again, see the suspension section of that thread Jerry linked, the numbers you need are there.

I do rub with my 33x10x16s due to my alignment being out of whack and not being able to get back in spec. My caster is sitting at about 0 when it needs to be 3ish. I have some Eibach uppers waiting on me so I can fix it.
