    After lengthy talks with about all of the things that are going on, decided going ahead with this one.
    Old engine is out and will replace all hard parts and electrical components that go at advanced mileage.
    There’s no rust so the bulk of the problems are age/wear related and the damage caused by bad repairs.

    Hopefully you can find a new motor and bring this truck back to life. I have no idea why you would have tried to start it without inspecting anything after being told the motor was bad….

    "Hopefully you can find a new motor and bring this truck back to life."
    I bought replacement motor before I actually bought the truck

    "I have no idea why you would have tried to start it without inspecting anything after being told the motor was bad"

    I did "inspect it" oil; up to level coolant; up/clean-pink I ran OBD, pulled all the plugs.
    Finally as we were turning the engine over to pull the torque converter bolts (showing it wasn't seized, no scored bearing noise) so WTH, I used a bore scope and found a snapped rod. The cost to fix the damage was more than the it was worth
    "Tried to start it? " Why not? I didn't know what was hurt yet. and It wasn't like I was going to hurt it anymore. It needed to come out regardless.
    It wasn't like it could be usable with some TLC, this was salvage regardless

    Footnote;
    Today is my 2nd 6th Bday! I survived a heart attack 6 years ago today !!!

    Well then I completely misunderstood your original post or missed all of that info in it. Good luck in the swap and congrats on the 6 years of second life! Helping save the lives of heart attack patients was my job for many years, one of my favorite times in my career.

    Really, thanks for the kind words. If a friend of mine (who's a volunteer fireman ) wasn't right there I wouldn't have made it. No previous symptoms I just collapsed
    If your >50 /or have family history/high stress; please for the sake of your loved ones get a checkup before it's too late.

    Dealing with truck;
    The electrical system needs a total refresh. Maybe even a donor harness. Two ground straps were cut and respliced and the fuse box needs attention.

    To improve longevity, even though the replacement motor is in great shape it's going to get fresh parts that are tough to replace in car
    The starter, exhaust manifolds, H20 pump, timing belt, oil pump and pickup, injectors and fuel pump plus.... whatever it needs.
    That saying nothing worthwhile is easy definitely applies here

    When I pulled the motor out I realized how the truck was done wrong. In photos earlier it shows only some of the damage done to the electrical system. The main power to the main fuse bank was butchered and not the only problem. When I removed the manifold a ground strap had been hacked up and taped over really bad.
    Looking to replace some of the damage I found a pretty solid looking replacement specifically for Gen I Tundra.
    It has Alternator, battery, ground straps, starter and relay you can also get in better 1/0 GA.
    The bonus is better cables with top notch fittings and are shrink wrapped is a blessing.
    If anybody is using these, by all means reply
