During the grill swap on my 2021 I broke 2 of the 4 tabs on the grill emblem (they are so frustratingly fragile!). What are you guys doing in such case? Slapping it back on, gluing it on, buying a new emblem (man are they expensive!)? My truck is so new that I am leaning towards new. Kicking myself for not being more careful but I didn’t realize how easily they break.

I know that there was a configuration change with the emblem. Does yours have a Phillips head screw as well as the tabs?

yes my is a 2021 with the tabs and screw hole. It should hold enough with the screw but I’m just particular.

You should be fine with the screw and the remaining tabs.

I used rare earth magnets but it isn't a permanent solution, less so in warm climates. Depending on your grille this wont work if the emblem can slide around.

I think some of this would be a perfect solution. It remains flexible, so you could always cut through it if you need to remove the emblem in the future. It comes out super thick and somewhat tacky which makes it easy to hold a piece in place. I just used some to mount the camera on my front grille, and it's not going anywhere lol. I just put a few dabs on a latex glove and reached behind the grille to put it on the camera.

Can you post a pic of it?
How much area is on the back of the emblem that touches the grille?

After having them painted, I used 3M molding tape to reattach my TOYOTA letters on my TRD Pro grille.
The tape only 'catches/touches' on the inside edge of the letters, but it has held up for over eight years.

You just reminded me about that 3M auto tape which has worked well for me in other situations. Appreciate the response!

I plan to repair the broken tabs but it will require some dry time. Do you know if I can temporarily drive around without the emblem? Will it throw codes?
