Head appears to thick to be a roofing nail. Probably a screw of some kind. We’ll find out when I get home.

Ah, I think I see the plus, now you mention it.

Fingers crossed it's only a little shorty ½" screw.

Here’s hoping. Doing oil change today, so I’ll fix it with tire rotation if needed. On a brighter note, averaged 15.1mpg this tank on these 285s. Not shabby. Normally would get around 15.8mpg with the 265s before.

Jealous. With all this cold I'm only getting 9-11mpg around town.

If you’re waking up and finding it when you go out to start your truck on the morning, I’d invest in a 24/7 security camera.

I had the same issue and when I got a wired PoE camera, it went away. Someone was able to get around the security of my WiFi spotlight camera and put a nice new drywall screw 1/2 sticking out of the rear tire. Even the cop admitted it was vandalism.

No one hates me enough to go through the trouble. Plus I just fix em myself, so they aren’t really accomplishing anything. I don’t want holes in my tires, but plugging them is quite satisfying.

Oil change and tire rotation done. Greased the drive line (ya lazy sod!!!) and adjusted the rear brakes. Also wiped the frame down with some penetrating oil. They’ve been brining the roads here during snow and ice events now

small screw, not enough to penetrate the tire, so no repair necessary

    IMG_2680.jpg

Frame and rear axle wipe down. Nice and clean and mildly protected

It’s barely half the normal market price there. And only 140k miles? Surprised Jordan motorsports hasn’t scooped it up, slapped the new TB, LBJs, 2.5” lift and BFG tires and relisted it for $29k yet.

Pulled a bone head move and over filled my engine by 1qt. My 2019 used 8 qts and I had that in my head instead of the 7qts my 2000 takes. Oops. Drove it home from the shop and realized my mistake when entering the info in the note I use to track maintenance. Drove back to the shop and used a YouTube trick to drain exactly one quart out. With a helping hand, I used a shop vac on the oil fill opening while I removed the drain plug. No oil came out. We turned the shop vac off and the oil began to drain. I had the 5 qt jug under there to catch the quart I wanted to drain out. Then turned the vac on once the quart was captured, replaced the drain plug. Worked great.
